txAMU football has never been a relevant program, so I’m not sure what makes their fan base think they can steal one of the top coaches out there. Is this simply a ‘Texan’ mentality?!

They have always been the masters of delusions of grandeur when it comes to coaching candidates.
I seriously hope they hire Dabo right before Clemson fires him and then back up the brinks truck again so history can repeat itself only at a slightly less auctioneer speed press conference pace.

I was an undergrad in Athens during the Stafford days. I even traveled to Fayetteville to see him air it out all over the Hogs.

A&M suffers from being the #2 school in a massive state that grants automatic admission to every kid in the Top 10% of their high school class. While the really smart kids go to Ivy League and massive Technical schools (MIT, CalTech, etc), A&M fills up with 2.0 Lafonda and 3.9 Cletus who knows Algebra the best. Their solution was to partner with nearby Blinn to try and pretend that Josh and Danielle, who were in the top quadrant but taking athletics or extracurriculars and have a 3.7, are actually Aggies.
