When's the last time Richt went 4-8?

It would be an upgrade, UF could do better, but an upgrade

Petrino

He'd be scary as shite at Florida.

Yes he would. With the right staff behind him he'd be very scary at Florida.

Sexton has already called on behalf of his very important client.

Houston Dale Nutt....

They do have sonics in Florida? Right?

malzahn, Mullen, Sumlin in that order. Outside the SEC: Kingsbury (if this year is good) Chip Kelly (if this year is horrible and he needs to get out of Philly), RichRod would be a massive upgrade but could take some selling Petrino is a non-starter, the administration wouldn't even consider him.

Gainesville PD would have triple the size of its force.

That's pretty insightful. , I doubt RR or Mullen.. But the others .

I love the fact that AU thinks he (GM) wouldn't leave, He is nothing if not a ladder climber . And UF program is a lot better job than Auburn , in all areas. It's the best job IMO.

The Chip Kelly idea is a perfect fit.

Also Chad Morris, Doc Holliday(Marshall, even though he may be looking at WV),

It also is the perfect type if job Kiffin would put his promotion team in gear to get , but I don't think UF would bite.

Because spring practice is spring practice, and fall practice is actually practice for upcoming games

Man....you have "The Season" and you have "the Offseason". Preseason IS a part of the offseason. The season is when games are actually being played.

I don't think he is trolling you guys are even insinuating that you will have a bad year. He is just curious. NOBODY asked about Kentucky or Vanderbilt. Why? They are not premiere programs. (Sorry Vandy and Kentucky...maybe soon) Florida is a MAJOR premiere program, so people speculate. We had similar threads about who we would want if Richt left or was fired.
Some said they would want to Stanford coach. The Stanford coach would not be a good fit for Florida.

Dabo would be intriguing as would Chad Morris....but I don't think Florida will go with a coordinator, either. They will want a proven head coach, IMO.

Don't be sensitive. Just because a Georgia fan makes the thread means it will be demeaning towards Florida. Muschamp happens to be on the hot seat, so they were the natural target of this thread.

That said...I think Florida has a 9-11 win season and gets off the hot seat this year.

What if you could get Chad Morris? His offense with Florida's talent could be intriguing. (I don't think you would go with a coordinator, either, though)

I like CM, but you might be going through the same stuff as a first-time HC, like muschamp went through.

If we're going SEC coaches to florida: Sumlin, Gus (i don't think he'd leave Auburn anytime soon)

I'd love Kelly, but he's in Philly for a while. Doc Holliday recruited well at Florida when he was there.

So you wouldn't take a coach with 5 East titles over the guy you have now?

Chip Kelly at UF, omg . We'd be turning away 5 stars at that point.

BS. He burnt bridges. big ones.

Also, if he could only win one during his lengthy tenure of "dominance" in the 90s, what in the hell makes anyone think he could double up his total at this semi-retirement point of his golfing/coaching career?

Hopefully Chip Kelly does decent at Philly over the next few years. If he tanks he'd jump to UF.
