The only ones I'm worried about TK Jr. and Jakob Johnson. TK has take Randolph's role making sure the back end is set due to that lame arse targeting call Randolph got against UK. He'll be back in the 2nd half but couple the guy who is the leader of back half of the defense being out for a half with the leader of the front defense being out all game and that is a real problem.

Not so much from a replacing them with athletes problem TK Jr is more talented than Randolph BUT a true freshmen who is inconsistent - ceiling is through the roof but TJjr has made costly mistakes, particularly when he first getting PT. Jakob Jonhnson is going to be a monster but if we're honest, despite his skills, his high intelligence AND his athleticism he's only played football in America for two years (an American HS he chose to attend to get seen outside of Germany and the year he's had here on the field). The football works in Germany is that it's a club sport that you have to pay for training/being a member of teams/leagues etc. His coach, who I've talked to is cool as hell. and he's said time and again that what you'll find with Jakob is very good fundamentals but not much beyond that because they couldn't provide more than solid fundamentals in Germany. He's had to learn a lot this season and I'm really hoping JRM and Maggitt are there to help with the signals.

TKjr at safety - kid's a monster athlete and playmaker, a legacy and far ahead of others in football IQ and knowledge but this is a LOT to place on a true freshman. Randolph can't come to the rescue until the second half. And of course, Randolph does a great deal of run support/stopping for us.

IOW, I'd feel a lot better about missing AJ were it not for that targeting penalty. That may prove to be our Achilles heal allowing Mizzou to get on the board quickly and establish the ability to run.

At least TK Jr is only for a half and he has played A LOT more than JJ this season in meaningful parts of big games.

BUT he will have a lot more communication responsibilities Saturday where JJ will just listen to what JRM tells him.

Combined they are pretty concerning, but individually they both aren't terrible.

Hope neither of the tries to do to much and just does their jobs.

With Todd Kelly Jr.... he's not only seen the field a lot more but has shown what an explosive playmaker he can be. The only reason he hasn't been starting is because he gave up some big plays while Randolph is not only good but also more consistent whereas TK has the potential to be special - truly great if he keeps progressing. TK needed to learn to get into position and I think he's here now.

With Jakob Johnson.... I truly feel this kid could be one of the best. He got here depsite incredible odds and Thig called him the best he'd seen in years despite his rawness. Thig also thought he was one of the best talents in the national class at that position - just raw as hell. BUT he's smart, an incredibly hard worker and extremely talented. His flaws are that the can still get baited AND he still hasn't taken enough reps at the position to not have to think about it. And replacing AJ has to be the much harder task for many reason not the least of which is Jakob not having much experience. That said, I think JRM and Curt will def. be there to help out in the communication responsibilities.

TK, I think, has learned from his early true freshman errors but Jakob despite his talent is going to need a lot of help and hopefully teammates step up.

Was Josh Malone the one who had the "I feel sorry for Missouri...we about to explode" quote?

If so, freshmen gonna freshmen when it comes to media.

nah, it was Von Pearson. Juco transfer, listed as a RS Jr.

And yeah, it was indeed a quote you would expect from a freshman. agreed.

No worries. Seeing as our juco a few years ago, Sheldon Richardson, produced the "Old Man Football" gem prior to us getting shellacked by Georgia in our first SEC game we really can't point fingers.

Jucos gonna juco.

I think mizzou wins this game by 20+. They are really, really good and no one ever gives them credit for it. I'm surprised their fans aren't defensive about that.

Meh. It's been the same shite every week for two years now. To the point of becoming tired.

Even our own fans have written them off a half a dozen times, but they just keep winning.

This year has probably been Pinkel's best coaching job ever.

Absolutely. Replicas will be placed in the spot "I <3 Gators" tee-shirts were once on sale at the UT Bookstore. For some reason they're on the clearance rack now as are the "Florida Gators: Second Classiest Team om the SEC," tees. I demand UT do a study to determine why these shirts didn't sell. Should've sold like gangbusters but kids these days just don't 'get it.'

Only thing I can think of is that UT students were disappointed that they didn't come with a free pair of jorts and some hair gel? A fair, critique if you ask me.

Rivalry denied due to 10 in a row

10 in a row

As I said to another gator recently, don't sell yourselves short. Y'all have been asses to us for for longer than that 10 short years.

As to any rivalry app, well all your coach could speak about for a over a week was beating UT by a single point. He was in cloud 9. But it's not 10 in a row that's made the rivalry wane, we were a created rivalry, a product of when the SEC split into divisions, and carried solely by the Fulmer/Spurrier show (two native sons who played off one another incredibly well in terms of entertainment and the truth is things haven't been the same since Spurrier left and got worse when Fulmer did. The fact that both programs have played dreadfully these past few years has been another death knell.

I was honestly hoping Muschamp could revive some of that hate (Dooley surely wouldn't/didn't) but the truth is Jimmy Frank did a better job at needling vol fans than Urban, Doolz or Champ ever did. Kiffine tried but came across as such an immature doucher it didn't quite work.

IOW, I see the rivalry fading at best and am losing hope it will return. UGA provides a much more fun 'rival' than UF these days despite the fact that we're not rivals.

BAMA will always be our one true rival. UK and Vandy have much stronger claims than UF, especially UK - gators are just the team we despise most because of how the hate and gameday experience went. (And I honestly say all that despite liking many of you gator fans). Just what it is without the 2 men who made it into one from scratch.
