This, this is good work.

Probably not entirely true, but true enough.

Still, legit Mizzou poster after 4 posts.

Better than most Arkansas posters after 2,025 posts, and almost every OM poster all off season long.

Mizzou's problem was the perception of talent on their team and the way they got blown out in the championship game. (SECCG)

I actually looked at the Mizzou 2013 team as legit and very good. 2014, not so much.

Let's see if Tennessee can win the east before you make a thread like this...then see how they do against the West winner. That will tell us more about if the East is down or not. Also, we can look at how the east performs against the West opponents. That says a lot, too.

Since Tennessee is the clear second best team in the SEC from a historical perspective, and Florida was "down" for their entire existence before Charlie Pell, you would have to limit your argument to a specific period in history for it to be valid...which would make it arbitrary and essentially false.

And frick you for making me defend the Viles.

Not true. Here are the years that Tennessee won the East... along with Florida's final AP ranking:

1997- UT won the East; Florida was #4
1998- UT won the East; Florida was #5
2001- UT won the East; Florida was #3
2004- UT won the East; Florida finished unranked
2007- UT won the East; Florida finished #13

With the exception of 2004, I'd say Florida hasn't been "down" a single time that UT won the East. And in fact, three of those seasons were some of Florida's best all-time... despite not winning the East.

Did you expect a Missouri fan to know anything about the SEC?

Based on the years they have won it, it appears that for Tennessee to win the East, Alabama has to be "down".

Alabama only wins the West when Tennessee is down. See 2008-2015

Until we break the curse I am not counting anything as a win when it comes to UF. I won't believe until the clock says 00:00 with UT ahead.

shite, we can still find a way to lose that. Pretty sure the LSU game and the UNC game in 2010 we were winning with time at 00:00 and we still managed to lose.

Uh, South Carolina finished #4 in 2013 (when Mizzou won it at 12-2)...but everybody said "the east was down"

Who cares if Florida finished in the top 5? They was down !

Plus, who cares how many SEC titles Tennessee won before 1992. There were only 6 conference games back then. Vols could go 4-1-1 and win the SEC, but since Johnny "TIE" Majors was their coach, they often went 3-0-3.

Keep it since 1992

Not our problem, we beat them. When teams like Mizzou and SC are really good, the perception is that the traditional powers are down. So you'll need to change that perspective by firmly establishing yourself as a powerhouse over multiple decades. Good Luck with that!

yeah, no

So you want to erase about 80% of football history to make this retarded point? This is why no one likes you

UT looks to have their team back we all used to see. I hope they make it all the way back! It needs to be a dog fight in the East as well.
