UCF's best coach has bombed in the big time. Easy to win in bush leagues.
Bert was terrible in the SEC and is killing Frost in his first year.
Adrian Martinez lol.

At least Heupel has a larger sample size than just one good season.

Heupel is about as average as you can get.

Heupel has a much better and different offense than frost.
Gave Mizzou their best offenses ever and hasn’t had an offense not top five nationally as a head coach.

As an Ole Miss fan, if Kiffin has a decent or even good year where do you think he goes next year? Obviously Ole Miss is just a place to prove he capable of holding it together and has grown up a bit.

Frost isn't at a powerhouse program anymore and it shows.

Was a longtime UT commit. He's JG 2.0. I feel sorry for Frost.

His offense is good against cupcakes and not so good to average to SEC teams. Very rare was great.

Heupel has 3 seasons in his 'sample size'. It shows him taking over the season after UCF went 13-0 and then going in the following years:
12-1
10-3
6-4
He's now taken over a program that just went 3-7.

Tenn fans don't want to hear it but he ran the scores up against high school teams that padded his stats. He had a couple of good games against good teams but, overall, sec teams shut him down. Hell Dooley had better stats his first year than any of JHs. His decline each year at ucf should've been a warning sign

Yes, and Frost got hired at NU after a 6-7 and 13-0 season.
If you count 2018 and 2019, Huepel had 2 good seasons before being hired by a P5 team.
Probably still not going to be good at Tenn, but Huepel did more to earn his chance at P5 school than 6-7 and 13-0 Frost.

So, Frost taking a team that went 0-12 the year before he got there and going 6-7 then 13-0 in his two seasons is less 'deserving' than a guy that took over a team that went 13-0 and got worse in the 3 years thereafter?
Interesting.
Interesting.

Well, there’s as much to learn about how a coach maintains success as there is to learn from their first year of success.
Imagine if Chizik had been hired by Ohio State in 2011 based solely on the 2010 Auburn season.
Edit: Also, as I noted in a thread earlier today, teams’ 2020 schedule have to be somewhat adjusted to account for the effects of COVID on schedules and attendance.
A 6-4 2020 UCF team is probably a 9-4 team any other year.
12-1, 10-3, and 9-4 is still a pretty good resume.

Nebraska is a poorly coached team. And even worse, they have no speed at skill positions, and an uninspired offensive line. Illinois is at best mediocre in terms of talent but Bielema coached them well. You could tell Illinois would win simply because they were not going to commit turnovers or make dumb plays. From a spectator standpoint, the game was difficult to watch.

We had better offenses before Heupel, he rebuilt it, but not the best
