Mizzou always has solid teams. It should be interesting to see if this season translates in recruiting. UGA will be fine....just been one of those years. And all this talking and we still can't sniff Bama's jock.

Yeah, I feel like whoever wins the east just wins the privilege of having their arse kicked by Bama.

I'm hoping for a recruiting bump. We need that in a big way. I do like the fact that our class has some kids from Florida and Georgia. They may not be the top ranked kids from those states, but you have to start opening the pipeline somewhere. And our staff does a very good job of evaluating talent and coaching kids up.

That Washington kid is a beast. I don't know where you guys found him but that kid could play anywhere. It is frustrating that UGA recruits so well and still can't compete with BAMA but at least we made them work for it last year. :). Maybe you guys will do the same if you make it.

L'Damien Washington was a 2* recruit from Shreveport, LA, who didn't get an offer from LSU. He was tall and fast, but too skinny for them out of HS. He's a terrific story. His dad died when he was 5, and his mom worked multiple jobs to raise her 4 boys (L'Damien is #3) until she passed away at one of his basketball games when he was 15. His brothers kept it together, but it was very difficult. He came to Mizzou, put on weight, and has been a 4-year contributor - captain this year. He's finished his degree already. Hopes to play NFL, but intends to someday work with at-risk kids back in Shreveport. We love him, and will really miss him next year.

Our team is full of these great kids who got overlooked. Michael Sam was also a 2* kid. But they all work hard and put the team above the individual.
