I'm ecstatic about this pick but I haven't really seen a lot of Kamara in action but the highlights I have seen he looks like the real deal.

You think he has the game to become a big time play maker in the NFL?

Pro Football Focus had him as the most elusive back in college:

He might of landed on the perfect team IMO. I'm a die hard Saints fan and I can't wait to see how we use him.

He will be very, very good. I will toot my horn and say I led the charge on Kamara>Hurd last offseason otb.

I think he is Tennessee's best RB since Travis Henry.

Very good. Butch was an idiot to have him second string.

This of course was my next question.

How the hell did this dude not get more touches?

Saints got a good one. AK is the real deal. I've always liked him, since from his short stay at Alabama and followed him through his UT career. Fun to watch. Versatile, quick, strong back and scary coming out of the backfield

Payton already loves him, he is looking great at camp supposedly.

He might get more work than people think THIS year.

His first season he was not the player he became his second season. He had ball security and pass-pro issues but he also had raw talent that was obvious. Hurd also didn't actually suck that season and the OC DeBo was still trying to figure out what exactly he had with Kamara. Over the summer and in fall camp, he got tons better with those fundamentals and DeBo figured out how to get AK more involved. He was developed more in the passing game.

However, by that time Hurd was playing prima donna at the mere suggestion that Kamara needed more touches (this was played out by his family on VN in response to fans suggestion that AK might have more raw talent - that provoked a response of "well maybe you'll just see how he does when Jalen isn't there" going into the bowl game (at the time we thought this to be some weird arse troll because JH was coming off a pretty good season and why on Earth would the suggestion that AK needed more touches provoke that but it was no troll - just JH's family throwing their typical hissy fit).

That said, Kamara never was second string. They were listed as co-starters from the moment AK arrived on campus. And going into last season, AK was named a captain. JH was not. AK played a lot last season but he had some unfortunate dings (the kind of injuries that would keep out for a game or parts of one but not the kind that are super-serious).

And Kamara will do fantastic with the Saints. No question.

Sean Payton said he already has Marshall Faulk type football IQ.
He will get a lot of touches this year

AK would have started in 'bama but I think he had a bit of "I'm the man" coming out of HS when he went to 'bama. He was humbled for a year and really turned out to be a great young man. Props to AK and truly believe he will have a stellar career in the NFL. The team really looked up to him in the locker room.
