I think that they understand more than most fans since they were the more talented team vs Notre Dame in baseball too. The most talented team doesn't always win.

I think most people would say that Bama is much more talented than the Vols also and they have the best coach to ever do it. We saw how that turned out.

Tennessee has the advantage at QB, WR, DE, it’s a push on DL. UGA has an advantage at TE (because of Bowers). RB is a push, and we don’t know about your secondary because they haven’t been tested. Situational coaching the Vols have an advantage.
On paper UGA should be a 12 point plus favorite. But UGA hasn’t really shown much outside the Oregon game to inspire folks. And that game was the 1st game of the year with a 1st time head coach, and former UGA assistant playing in a hostile environment. The Vols are a veteran, tested team that have played in hostile environments that truly believe they can beat UGA.
If both teams play to their on paper ability UGA should win easily. Or in a more modern analogy, if this was a video game UGA wins. But the Vols have more than a punchers chance here. UGA hasn’t been tested. They haven’t faced an O like Tennessee this year. Tennessee has faced multiple top 15 defensive teams, and proven they can run with them.

There are a minimum of 5 teams in the SEC that have more talent on their roster, at least on paper, than Tennessee.

It’s like UGA fans expect to win by getting off the bus.
Vols fans are not proclaiming victory but pointing by not proclaiming defeat. We understand that UGA should win and most of us expect UGA to win. But the Vols can win and legitimately have more than a punchers chance to win. It’s a tossup until the game is played.

We have an advantage everywhere except QB and WR. We are better at every single defensive position and our offensive line is better. And we are deeper. You’re a clown.

UTs front 7 has the production, against better teams than UGA has faced to dispute that. On paper sure UGA looks better. If this was a video game sure UGA looks better, but on the field production? I disagree.
