No way the Vols are due. The alien and Hurd run all over the untested UF defense.

I recommend you get a copy of "Eats Shoots and Leaves."

Throw it deep and if he throws an interception at least we flip field position. One thing he has going for him thouhh is he's actually played an away game.

Int's could be a concern...Looking at Appleby's stats in away games:

2014
@ Illinois - 1 TD; 0 Int
@ Minn - 3 TD; 2 Int
@ Nebraska - 1 TD; 2 Int
@ Indiana - 0 TD; 3 Int

2015
@ Marshall - 1 TD; 4 Int
@ Iowa - 1 TD; 0 Int

Overall in away games, 7 TDs and 11 Ints.

OK, it is finally, put up or shut up week for the Vo12s.

Losing Del Rio hurts but won't make the difference in UF extending it's streak to 12 games. Our defense is better than last year, our kicking game is better and our offense is even better.

Austin Appleby will add his name to the list of other unexpected winning QBs in this series. We have beaten the Vo12s with the following QBs. Why will this year be any different?

Treon Harris
Tyler Murphy
Jeff Driskell
John Brantley

Coaching is another area that we have a big advantage in. UF has beaten the Vo12s with the following coaches during the streak.

Ron Zook
Will Muschamp.

With our defense, the question is not whether UF will win, it's whether the Vo12s will even score.

My prediction is that they will.

UF 17 - Vo12s 3

Go Gators

UF will run a lot. Dobbs will have to beat us with his arm. UF needs to tackle low this year and wrap up.

Agree, the defense was in position last year just didn't tackle well at all. Having Anzalone this year will help a lot with QB runs.

One key thing...we can hit 55 yard field goals. Sadly, that may be the biggest game changer. Neither offense is going to score a ton. So it may be a field goal kicker game. Luckily, ours has a monster leg.

This game is going to come down to TO's, whoever plays conservative and protects the football, IMO will win.

OUrs has a monster leg as well if you remember the 55 yarder from last year sailing by the upright with plenty of room to spare...he just doesn't put them between the posts.

Every conference game is a monster game. You didn't know this?

Eddie has the strongest leg I've seen since Janakowski, definite edge to UF.

That edge won't be enough. Vols by 5 IMO. We cover. That's about it.

Back up QBs don't win their first start on the road. Just doesn't happen.

Congrats Vols. We'll getcha next year in the swamp.

Nope, you're going to win outright.

Unless they play in Knoxville.

Just out of curiosity, is Appleby strictly a pocket passer, or can he run?
