So then you lost all remaining games because of those injuries? Please, indicate where this shell phenomenon occurred.

We didn't. I'm directly blaming the Auburn loss on injuries because, well, yeah. You were watching.

We beat an overrated Mississippi State team and a had a rent-a-win against Presbyterian, post-injuries.

Also, the same shite y'all are harping on in this thread- "last year doesn't matter" - is the same shite y'all continually bring up when engaged in arguments with Rebals - "30-0, 42-3."

True. 2001 Tennessee wasn't in moral victory mode at all. That was a loaded squad that only lost to UGA because we played by far our best game of the season that day.

Yep. That was maybe a more talented Tennessee team than our 98 NC team. That was such a bad loss and a prime example of why UT fans got sick of Chavis.

Huge signature win for Richt in year one though no doubt.

Alright then, sounds like y'all have it put together and all that. Congrats.

I wasn't necessarily harping on anything, I don't really give a frick about Ole Miss. Y'all beat a UT team last year that was but a shell of itself. I simply responded to your comment about how Ole Miss has put it together.

Look, I understand your posting in most UT related threads will continue, and I would like you to know that I appreciate your Volsession because it helps fuel our offseason championship charge. We couldn't do it without posters like you.

I can see that if the ball lands absolutely perfectly in your corner.. But it rarely does... I think you drop 1 (2 with bad luck) out of us/state/am then another out of mizzou/tenn Conference is just getting hard AF

If our QB stays healthy and builds on his junior season I could see us winning nine, but we would probably need to be able to beat auburn at home.

Bama on the road is about as guaranteed a loss as there is in the SEC for any matchup. They're just in our head or something.

It's just the opposite of lsu, where for some reason we usually play our best game of the season against them. Never intimidated by them.

Might even be a sound strategy just to forfeit that bama game, keep our players healthy.

That's because the only thing intimidating about LSU is their fan's breath. Smells of corndog.

I think we had a better DL last year and it will be significantly better this year.

You had us on LB's last year and they are probably even this year with your losses and us losing AJ.

I would think our DB's were pretty even but ours are better because we have a TON of young talent stepping up this year after a year under their belt with veterans like Randolph, Sutton, ect still around.

Going further ESPN just rated D position groups and we are better in all but one that is very close.

DL

- TN - 3rd
- Ark - 11th

LB

- TN - 5th
- Ark - 12th

DB
- TN - 6th
- Ark - 5th

So I was very close in my original statement.

They also rated O and it looks pretty even with a slight nod to TN.

QB

- TN - 2nd
- Ark - 7th

RB

- TN - 4th
- Ark - 1st

WR

- TN - 2nd
- Ark - 10th

OL

- TN - 11th
- Ark - 2nd

I'll give you DL since we lost Philon and Flowers.

We started a true freshman at CB (held Amari Cooper to 22 yards) and safety last year so we should be better than last year there too.

Agreed, especially since it's really our first true road game in week 5 with Alabama the week after. Will be tough.
