Team XYZ Is Gonna Surprise Some Folks...

Whenever someone says this, what they are really saying is Team XYZ sucks and has nothing to look forward to in the football season. No reasonable person thinks this team will win more than 7 games.
Another good one, is when Coach XYZ has alot of young players that he's gonna Coach-Up in the offseason... this is a nice way of saying that XYZ is devoid of talent and has no depth at any position, by any measurable standard.
But my favorite... when the QB is referred to as a Dark Horse that may have some Heisman Buzz come November... this is a nice way of saying your QB is average; mediocre, not special, has a long way to go. If he was actually special, he would already have Heisman buzz.

Every year at least a few teams and players greatly exceed expectations. People are usually wrong predicting which ones will do it, but it's fun to guess.

So Kirby is gonna coach up the UGa players, by doing so UGA will surprise some teams and give Eason a chance at getting that NYC HT invite.

No, there's not many underclassmen with a chance to start right now, we are stacked at most positions. Maybe 3 positions out of 22 have a legit shot for a freshman or soph to break into. These players are already coached up.

UGa is already predicted to win 9 to 11 games by many media outlets. UGa having a 10 win season with some marquis wins won't be a big surprise to anyone.. it's what they are expected to do.

Not Eason, but Chubb. He's had Heisman buzz for a while now, and not as some fringe Dark Horse. He's been heavily hyped for years now. I know it doesn't seem like its been that long, but this is his senior year now... people have been talking about Heisman hopes for him for a while. Knee injury changed that conversation though. We'll see.
