Which SEC team will exceed, meet or underachieve.

I was thinking about last year and how Georgia didn't quite meet everyone's expectations. Alabama came out of nowhere and had an undefeated regular season. Ole Miss did quite well toward the end of the season similar to what Ga did in 2007. Auburn and Tenn imploded. LSU underachieved in 2008.

Will Bama underachieve in 09? Will Ole Miss overachieve?

I think Alabama will meet expectations, and be in the nine win area.

I'm not sure about Ole Miss. Judging by Houston Nutt's past, they won't. However, he has better overall talent they he had at Arkansas.

Maybe. Just too many question marks right now. Arkansas may be the team that makes a big leap in 2009.

bama meets expectations based on how awesome the defense should be.

ole miss has some good wins (maybe over achieve)

LSU (better than last year, but still underachieve)

arkansas (get ready for more of the same as last year)

Auburn (potential to do both.. the term is too relative for this team for this upcoming year. auburn underachieves for what they've been used to for a long while, but improves from last year)

MSU (no damn clue)

..... about to go to eat.. can't finish the list.

Why for is there OM love from a Bama fan (I'm well aware I'm being gramatically incorrect)?

Florida is gonna have a really odd loss this year. Meet

Georgia is gonna struggle with all the new skill positions to fill plus half of their D graduated didn't they? Meet or decline

USC-E is gonna be the surprise team of the East. Exceed

Tenn will be the whipping boy for the year and probably lose to Vandy. Low expectations to begin with. Meet

Vandy will be Vandy. Exceed

Kentucky will continue their bowl streak. Meet.

Bama will have a great but not Championship season. Meet.

LSU will depend on the growth of the QBs. SECCG Meet.

OM has HDN as a coach and high expectations... fail.

Arkansas won't be a great team until 2010-2011, but we will be a surprise. Exceed.

MSU may just win the Egg Bowl in dramatic fashion. Meet

Auburn is going to have a good offense provided the QB solidifies into something harder than stale water (not likely). Fail

I don't know if you're aware of this, but HDN can't recruit worth a damn, either.

I'm not baiting you. I'm merely pointing out that just because something happened before does not mean it is a given it will happen again.

Then that's what you should have said. Btw I'm a little in the dark about that class you just pulled in. Do you know who's not qualified or is grayshirting yet? as a side note, I'm not saying it won't be a good year, but you guys aren't gonna been NC next year is what I'm saying as most of your fans seem to think.

My predictions are based off each fanbases expectations.

Only 12-15 of Nutt's recruits aren't going to make it to campus.

Lighten up.

Arkansas much improved. Schedule may be the toughest in America so W-L may not show it.
LSU should be in the SECCG barring a rash of injuries. D is stout, QB will rise to the occasion.
Florida could be scary good. They have All-SEC players sittin' the bench.
Georgia will be better than most think.
Tennessee will be also. Kiffin may be a crazy, but his staff is great.
Auburn is a total unknown.
USCe should challenge, but Spurrier will beat down his QB again and they'll fold towards the end.
Ole Miss' fortunes ride on Nutt resisting the temptation to run the offense and let his coordinator do his job. Couldn't do it at Arkansas, remains to be seen if he can now.
MSU will not be very good, but will be better at the end.
Vandy & KY, who cares really.
Finally, Bama. Will fail to win their 123rd NC in the 122 years of college football and thus fail to meet expectations. Huge upset loss to Auburn begins the end of Saban at Bama.

I generally pull for all SEC teams to be successful... except against us, but I hope Tenn sucks so bad that Kiffin is out by year 3. Then I hope they become good again.

Auburn will far exceed expectations.

Arkansas is expected to be the "most improved" of '09 so I would say they meet.

Georgia never lives up to the hype, but I like them.

LSU can win anywhere from 6 to 14 games. Who knows? Lots of "talent" but a coach that treats football like a roulette wheel.

care to back up your statement? I know what you are going to say though, "Malzahn is a fricking genius, he's the best OC in the game, they are gonna put up some big points!" However, you do realize that you need the players to run an offense, no matter who your OC is, right?
