These allegations have been around for a while but nothing has ever come of them. Now that Freeze's lack of integrity has been exposed, any theoretical victim of his has a real opportunity to get justice.

But the Briarcrest shite, that's something else entirely. The act itself, the cover up, and the ambivalence of Ole Miss (Knowing and not caring), that's pure EVIL . It's terrifying, if there's any truth to it.

Too true.

Did he do those things? Well despite some people on here fervently defending him or condemning him none of us really know unless we were one of his alleged victims.

I will say it is not at all unusual for people, especially teenagers, to be unwilling to come forward if they suffer this type of abuse. People can go forth and read some of the statements by Olympic gymnasts who were reportedly abused by a national team doctor.

In one or two cases the girls did tell their parents what happened... and no one believed them. The guy was a highly respected doctor with the US Olympic organization. People turned a blind eye to the scandal even though there had been rumors for over a decade that something was going on.

Or Sandusky and what he did. Bill Cosby and his alleged long history of date rape. The sex scandals of the Catholic Church.

The more respected and well known a person is the harder it is to believe that they are doing something so vile. Teenagers read the comment sections too and after a steady drum beat of "I don't believe them, they waited too long, they are just out for publicity" who can blame them for being afraid to come forward?

Then something like this happens and the guy that was beyond reproach suddenly isn't any more. It is easier to come forward then.

There may be nothing to these allegations, I hope it didn't happen to be honest, but it needs to be looked into.

Someone sent me a screenshot of it but I can't find the link. It's either hard to find, it's been deleted, or its fake....but it doesn't look fake

I can't seem to find it. How much of an alumni would one have to be to be able to join? Just any old alumni, or only a student from the Freeze years or only a female from Freeze's years or only after a mod gives you admission after they've approved that what you have to say lines up with what they want people to be saying?

For the record, I was typing a funny reply to the other Briarcrest thread about starlings and Eugene Schieffelin. It was in reply to people criticizing Auburn and I was attempting to just be silly and derail the anti-Auburn sentiment. Anyway, I hit send and got the stop sign... Me, being nice to Auburn and I got the stop sign??? I guess that means it wasn't meant to be and I'll have to continue being a shite bird like the starling.

I don't think you'll find any Ole Miss fan who wants those to be true either.

It's absolutely sickening at true and reprehensible and it shakes your belief in your school if they knew anything about it.

My parents who are lifelong alumni already said they're not giving any more money than the school course they felt that way for some time but this is just the nail in the coffin and for a lot of alumni I've heard the same. I don't think there's people there like yeah I'm glad he did that come on now.

Aww, you are one of the nicest folks on here. You'll never be a shite bird.

Granted that does not apply to game days. I think we are all allowed to be on our worst behavior then. If we have a few more meltdown games like we did last year expect some of my game day posts to be an exhaustive list of every single foul word I can think of.

“Our current administration and former administrators who we’ve talked to — and we’ve talked to many — we are totally unaware of any allegations against Coach Freeze regarding any kind of inappropriate personal conduct while he was here at Briarcrest,” Briarcrest director of communications Beth Rooks said. “We would take any such allegations seriously and we would fully investigate it. Our objective is to deal with any issues truthfully and objectively. There’s all these rumors and innuendo, but there hasn’t been proof of anything. We’ve never had any parent or student or anybody come to us.”
