What's funny about the milliner gif is that he did his job and contested him and robert Lester bit on the double move by the outside guy. If you knew anything about man zone coverage you would know that split safeties have over the top. It's funny how things are translated different between the mind of someone who has played safety and someone who knows nothing about defense period.

It's too bad you weren't out there instead of Lester, for Bama's sake I mean

Mental mistakes are the avoidable ones. If I was out there in my playing days I wouldn't be able to do what Lester did on an every game basis but if I had Lester's skill set for that play I could have defended it. Yes. Manziel wouldn't have thrown it if the safety stayed over the top and read the ball. Manziel would have tried to go to the slot receiver on the right side before he was tripped and a PA call would have been called.

So it's Lester's fault that Kennedy runs literally right past him (him being Millner)?

Also, why was bama running a zone scheme with Millner when if he was just put on an island that play could have been prevented?

If he figures out how to pass block he will be. Otherwise I think Carson gets the nod.

Sumlin says his pass pro is night and day from last year... He's bulled up just a little as well.

Carson and Williams will be 1a 1b, and will honestly probably see several 2 back sets.

I guess we can all put Recruitingjunkie on the large list of people who don't know what the hell they are talking about.

Do you know what an island is? An island is when you play man coverage and it's an isolated area with no help. Second reason I know y'all have no idea about defense and football for that matter, he has realease past 5 yards because safety has read on QB in the man zone defense Alabama was in and was supposed to be over the top. Reason Alabama doesn't have him on an island is because there is no corner opposite to him to play boundary that could lock down a receiver. The whole point of shadowing a receiver is if you have someone like Evans or if you have another corner opposite to be able to play a safety in the box.

Please tell me your football pedigree so we can all be taken back by your greatness since you do nothing but follow me around in this thread and try and act like I don't know what I'm talking about when in reality, I don't think you can even comprehend what I'm talking about.

UAB isn't a big time football college but I still have more knowledge about safety play and defensive schemes than most people on this board

Dude you are so incredibly full of shite. Go back and look at that gif. Bama rushed 5 with the MLB as a spy. The 2 corners were in press man leaving the safeties to pick up the slot guys. Your guy got beat. Period. Had nothing to do with missed assignments.
