I ELIMINATED #1 AND # 3.
COMMERCIALS ARE AN ISSUE.
I HATE SITTING IN A STADIUM IN 95 DEGREES WITH 87% HUMIDITY AND WATCHING THE RED HAT DUDE STOP THE GAME OVER AND OVER AND OVER

My only question is how has the NCAAnot located a brilliant mind like yourself and offered you a lucrative employment contract?
I just don't understand it. You've clearly got things figured out. I mean, who cares that the NCAA and its member institutions are facing a billion dollar lawsuit? You know what they should do in that financial climate? Cut revenues! Brilliant idea.
Where'd you get your MBA? HBS? Stanford? Wharton? Must have been a top notch place with these kinds of brilliant ideas.

First of all the OP is sadly misinformed..average game length of major college games in about 2 hrs and 45 minutes. Its been reduced in time already and it gives the team that is behind in the score less time to try and play hurry up to offense to win.
NOTHING should be changed.
NOTHING should be changed.

I guess the NFL is going broke because of less commercials?
I give up. You guys win. I'll watch the 4+hour game on saturday and a 3 hour game on Sunday.

Halftimes I believe are also longer in CFB. I am fine with eliminating a few commercials. I too though like the fact that teams have a chance to come back. The only games that ever feel "long" to me are the cupcakes where every little football is being played in the 4th quarter.

20 minutes CFB
12 minutes NFL
Commercials make up about 45 extra minutes

No, but comparing the NFL business model to the NCAA business model just shows how ignorant you are on the issue.
They are so unbelievably different that you can't compare the two.
The Dallas Cowboys make $115 million in revenue from suites and club seats each year alone. There are only 6 college programs who make more than that in total revenue.
It's a completely different ball game.

I can't think of a (non-OT) college game that's ever taken 4.5 hours. That would mean a 3:30 start would end at 8. That doesn't happen and is a complete exaggeration on your end. I would say most are closer to 3 hours than 4.5 already (i.e. they take less time than the midpoint between those two [3 hours, 45 minutes]. A 3:30 game usually ends around 7-7:15).

CFB is the superior product. The question we should be asking is, "How can we tweak the NFL to make it more like college ball?"

2. TV contracts and commercials should be modeled after NFL
THIS IS THE BIG PROBLEM
I would agree that they are longer, but I can't stand the touchdown, extra point, commercial, kick-off, commercial.
