False

One or both will be gone at the end of the season though.

Has a P5 team ever fired a coach in September?

There is no way either school will fire their coach Monday if it loses this game. Any coaching changes will occur after the season.

What purpose does it serve to fire a coach in mid-season and to have an interim coach?

O point in firing either it's bad tact. Not like you got a lot of famer on the side line to take his place. And shite lsu what if coach o is the interim and beats bama and gets you to the cotton bowl now you got to hire him.

No wait til the end of the season

There's no point in replacing Gus now with who lol

If LSU loses, yes. If AU loses, no, but maybe at end of year.

My guess is false but it's not out of the question. Would probably take a blowout loss to do it. I personally think the loser should be out immediately though. No point in dragging on and having the players quit on them b/c that is what will happen.

Both are on borrowed time and I think they both will not be coaching at their respective schools next year.

False, but ol' Gus is closer to the exit than Miles is IMO.

College coaches shouldn't be fired during the season. Just my opinion.

well it might happen if John L Smith is available (I think that's his name; the Arky interim guy). he's got experience in immediate take overs and has his bags packed just in case.

even tho no one knows what the advantage of firing a HC in September is i'm sure somebody at either school would be very happy. you know, the type of people that wake up in a new world everyday.

I think Gus has a shorter leash. I just don't see LSU getting rid of Miles during the season unless things go drastically wrong.

I doubt les would be fired until the end of the season and they will probably allow him to step down.

The correct answer.

Seriously, the loser gets fired at the end of the year or sooner, but not in the next seven days.
