First page!

It's theoretically possible. Though certainly an A&M victory is unlikely if JFF leads an Aggie win and puts up 400 yards of offense he could certainly win. Klein is the default leader right now but he just got hurt as well. Really isn't generating much buzz though.

I don't think the amount of shockwaves an A&M win in Tuscaloosa would generate could be underestimated. Suddenly A&M would be seen in a completely different light and likely goes BCS. The SEC picture completely changes as does the NC picture though Bama still likely wins the West and SECCG. JFF would be at the forefront of all of that with a great resume and a million highlights.

Still, even as an Aggie I think our chances have only gone from 1% to 10% to now about 20% to win that game. If nothing else I can't see the officials letting Bama and the SEC potentially lose a shot at the NC.

I think he should get a trip, if that's the case.

I've never believed you have to be in a certain class or above to win the Heisman....if you're the best, you're the best. With that in mind, I don't think he's the best player in college football.

Give him a year or two, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was, though.

Tell that to Rex Grossman in 01.

If aTm wins out and Manziel continues to torch defenses he should definitely get an invite to the DAC.

As far as the bama game goes, If he has around 250 yards and no turnovers vs that D on the road, I would have to consider it a very good game. I cant wait to watch that in the Grove saturday before our game.

Don't take your Bama frustrations out on me...

You don't seem to like anything Ags do.

You don't like our midnight yell practices, you don't like our yell leaders, you don't like Kyle Field, you don't like College Station, you don't our state, you don't like much of anything. You don't like A&M.. we aren't for everyone.

I know Saturday night was painful, I get it. Been there, I know it sucks.

Tell that to the voters.

If, in this rainbow and unicorn fantasy land, Manziel beats Bama by 3 TDs while accounting for 500 yards of offense with his arm and his feet then sure I agree 1000%.

Otherwise, no.

And the numbers Manziel put up against LSU are going to seriously handicap any chance he has of even being considered for the Heisman this year. 3 INTs and 0 TDs against one of the top Ds in the land ain't gonna qualify you for the Heisman. I don't care if he threw for 276 in that game. Those 3 picks were fatal.

ETA: Manziel's 2 picks against Ole Miss also stick out like a sore thumb.

That should be the ONLY question. Suppose A&M finishes 10-2 or 9-3 after playing LSU, Bama, and UF and Manziel destroys the records set by Cam and Tebow. Why the hell shouldn't he get invited? He is producing at unheard of rates, and he is doing it against a schedule that is as tough as anyone else in the country.

If the TEAM beats bama, he gets an invite. If HE beats bama, the first ever freshman will win the heisman.

*barring an equally heroic game from Klein.

NO he won't, you are on crack.

Klien, Barner from Oregon would also win if something happens to Klien.

IF A&m somehow beat bama he might get an invite, but will finish 5th..

Let me make this easy for you...

Should he win? No

Will he win? No

Will he be invited? Possibly with a victory over bama.

The hawgs warned us bout these aggies. The word was that they think that they invented college football & everything bout them is the greatest thing to ever happen. I'll concede that his potential is unlimited but when raving bout his stats being the greatest ever, I suggest taking out that 700 yrd game against the Div. 2 team, same against La.Tech's defense. THEN give him a full yr against the SEC's defenses & lets see how great he is. Would I take him on LSU's team? Certainly, in a heart beat. But lets not give him the trophey for the best college player in the land. And not sure why K.St's QB is the "default" leader: he proved himself against several quality teams, OU being one.
