We'd put half a hundred on that slow defense.

Crap, I thought this was a track and field thread.

I remember hearing this over and over again before the LSU game. It wasn't true then and wouldn't be against ND either.

Kentucky seems to be struggling with them tonight so - false.

Literally no one said either of those things.
FWIW. Vegas has 5 SEC teams as favorites over ND and USCe as a pickem. They're not that great.

Thanks to dumbass threads and responses like this, I'm pulling for Notre Dame.
SEC is so full of itself.
And by the way, Oregon lost one game in OT to Stanford and blew everyone else away... They should be playing Notre Dame in the BCS title game. Screw the media and polls and their dicksucking of the SEC.

No, I think it is an honest question. You have to admit that it is quite remarkable to have 6 teams with 2 losses or better in the same conference.
And when those loses were dealt at the hands of one another, it raises legitimate questions about how good those teams are compared to other teams who didn't play in the league.

LSU's defense is not even remotely close to slow. You guys have the fastest defense in the country along with Florida. Pitt had a guy with 172 rushing yards against ND. They've let terrible teams score points against them.
ND's defense is a prototypical Big 10 style D. Big and strong, but slow. Every one of the 6 SEC teams would beat them. I expect the winner of the SECCG to blow them out.

Alabama, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Texas A&M, South Carolina I'll go first: true, although the lack of Lattimore would concern me for USCe.
Most teams in the SEC have a chance at beating ND if Pitt can hang with them.
That being said, ND has a really good defense. They've earned their number one ranking with a good schedule.
The top 6 teams in the SEC could beat ND.
ND could also beat the top 6 teams in the SEC.
aTm vs ND would probably be the most fun because their offense is the best in the SEC.
Florida and LSU are not very good on offense but I think ND would have a hard time scoring at all.
Bama's defense isn't quite as good as Florida and LSU, however the offense is better. Georgia is similar where they are pretty balanced. The defenses aren't as tough as LSU/FLA but the offenses are better.
USCe is a tough one because their defense is really good but losing Lattimore was such a huge blow. I would probably think ND would be favored after the Lattimore injury.

In all seriousness, I think A&M would beat ND the worst of any SEC team.
Would not even be close.
Would not even be close.

False
ND is better than they get credit for.....front 7 keeps them in games with any SEC school

I've watched a lot of ND football this year and they are simply not that great.
ND's D and Te'o are ridiculously overrated. They aren't fast and they aren't even that big. Te'o is great in zone pass D and that's really it. He isn't a pass rusher AT ALL. He gets blocked out of run plays with ease. Watch the USC (W) game. Watch the Pitt game. If either of those teams execute their offense at all or had anything remotely resembling a defense they win easily. ND needed serious help from the officials to win the Stanford game. They were incredibly fortunate to win 2 close games against bad teams in Purdue AND BYU. I honestly think ND is a 4 loss team in the SEC and don't think they would be favored against any of the Big 6.
They haven't seen a single defense on the level of Bama/LSU/UGA/USC/UF. They REALLY haven't seen an offense like A&M's, they almost did with USC but with their backup QB he couldn't even complete screen passes consistently.
ND's defense is vulnerable to strong OL's that can power run the ball right at them. Too bad the SEC doesn't have any of those. Their offense is weak and they struggle to score points.
I will be very surprised if the game with either Bama or UGA is close. Strong, physical offenses with power running games and highly efficient QB's mixed with an elite defense is ND's worst nightmare. LSU and UF could struggle if their offense is having a bad day but they should still be able to overpower ND. A&M would run away from ND and they would never catch up. USC would be a good game but I would still put my money on them.
