Mullin needs to keep the foot on the gas when he gets a lead. Going for it on fourth down instead of kicking an easy field goal with almost 6 minutes to go was a stupid thing to do. I understand not trying to run up the score on another team (like Bama did at end of game with the Muschamps), but when you are MS St, you can't afford those luxuries.

By your rationale, a team having a top 10 AP ranking AUTOMATICALLY means they're elite without having played the season out?!?

I believe I'm the one who has hit a nerve. You saw, just like the rest of the country, MSU win in dominate fashion in Tiger Stadium which is very impressive and something that has only been done by "elite" teams in the past 6 years (both #1 teams in the country). You're scared and I love it.

However, I am man enough to know when a quality team comes in and beats you man to man. Mullen was classy in the win and the fans deserved this one and my respect. I would do the same for any team that comes into Death Valley, at night, and gets a W.
But, it was just a congratulations to them and their team for playing well. I know there are great seasons in our future, so I don't have ill will towards them.

It doesn't have an effect. It does provide a historic model for the progression of a level 5 grind.

I wasn't personally, and it was very embarrassing. That doesn't mean you are allowed to get away with such behavior either though.
