Strong said he hasn't pushed his bosses at Texas to make the game happen.
"Let me win some games first," he said. "Then I can push it. I don't know if I want to go walking into College Station right now."
You realize he's probably just bullshitting you aggies into thinking Texas stands zero chance

Haha, Cool. And we have scoreboard in your house.
So quit begging to play us and just watch replays of that game on your time machine channel
And I can say that most Ags would trade that game for the last 3 yrs in the SEC

Strong, is a crap coach, but he is an honest guy. We'd get rolled by aggie right now. We're at rock bottom. We'll be here until Strong gets fired (hopefully, after this season). No way we even think of scheduling aggie in the regular season until at least the 3rd year of the next coach's tenure.
I hope we never schedule A&M again. Don't need it. Texas & OU are both top ten all-time programs. That is our rivalry.

I care about the actual context and even mentioned that A&M is getting much better in that regard. Yes, y'all had bad luck finding OOC opponents going to the SEC, but don't make it seem like A&M scheduled well when they were in the Big 12. I mean, it wasn't as bad as Texas Tech or Baylor scheduled, but it wasn't great by any means.
2011 - Arkansas
2010 - Arkansas
2009 - Arkansas
2008 - Miami(FL)
2007 - Miami(FL)
2005 - Clemson
2004 - Clemson
2003 - Pitt, Virginia Tech
2002 - Pitt, Virginia Tech
2001 - Notre Dame
2000 - Notre Dame
1998 - Florida State, Were scheduled to play LSU but they pussied out
1997 - Were scheduled to play LSU but they pussied out
1996 - BYU, Were scheduled to play LSU but they pussied out
This was our non-conference schedule in the entire history of our time in the Big 12.

I want a 9 game SEC schedule, and I know our program doesn't. That shouldn't be a negative thing with me. It is interesting though you compared GT to SMU like that is even close to being a similar thing. Next year our OOC scheudle is complete crap and that's pretty inexcusable, but we weren't talking about us. We were talking about Texas having a better OOC scheudle than A&M, which has been true for a long time.
No it was about having road OOC games and neutral site games. The opponent is irrelevant if you're not making money at the gate because it's not your stadium.

How old are you? In the 16 years we were in the Big 12 we scheduled Miami, Notre Dame and Florida State. How many national titles are there between those programs? Hell even Pitt, Clemson and Arkansas claim some at some point.

He rebuilt Louisville, young, defensive minded, etc. Is it more or less he's just a bad fit, or do you really and truly think he's incompetent?

Meh. It's just like saying gumps. If you're offended by any of them you need to take yourself way less seriously.

Incompetent
To come in to Texas, and to run the offense he ran, shows he has no clue what he is doing.
Also, he knew Ash was a HUGE health risk going in to 2014. Our QBs are a mess right now. That is 2 offseasons when he should have made a real push to get a solid JUCO QB or facilitate a transfer. He failed both offseasons.
I can't wait for Strong to get fired.

I looked it up, and you are definitely right about A&M scheduling tougher teams. I guess I just remember the Texas games against OSU more because they were the more prominent program, but they really didn't schedule as well OOC as I thought they did. I have no problem retracting that part of it. When someone proves me wrong, I will absolutely admit they're right and you did so there.
As far as scheduling well, I wouldn't say that A&M was great, but they did have a very good OOC schedule in 2003. That probably gets cancelled out by one of the worst ones I've ever seen in 2006. After 2004, A&M would play one decent OOC opponent, and then 2 or 3 crappy teams. That's what most teams did, but I don't think that would qualify as scheduling well.

So then no one in the country scheduled well? If that's your personal definition fine, but by the standards of basically every other major program in the country, A&M definitely scheduled well.
