They have a damn Ole Miss banner hanging in there that claims three National Championships, 1959, 1060, and 1962.

That's pretty damn sad. It's like the SEC Championship they claim in 2003 I guess. If you google those National Championship claims, it will turn up that Ole Miss claims them, the NCAA does not recognize them. LOL....pathetic.

3 titles in 1000 years sounds about right for Ole Miss

The NCAA does actually recognize their 1960 championship.

The NCAA actually does recognize two of them. However, it's a damn joke that any championship prior to the BCS is recognized. You shouldn't claim it if you didn't play for it and there just can't be multiple champions in a year, it isn't American.

Now I'm going to claim 1941 because frick you Alabama.

I believe they may have said they split it in 1960 with Minn, or something along those lines.

They did. It's a shame it's taken this long to crown a legitimate national champion in such a popular sport.

Actually no, they didn't recognize two of them. I'm also pretty sure that the AP nor the UPI recognized any of the three either. Probably the Jackson Newspaper recognized them.

I've heard dumbass fans claim it. I didn't know they went so far as to make authentic looking banners claiming it...so yes, it does.

No different than your 1935 claim in men's basketball.

Oh really? How so? Since, you know, every single university in Div 1 football agreed to let the BCS determine the national champion. Not even close to the same actually. But hey, go ahead and think that if it makes you happy.
