Alabama requires a higher high school GPA and ACT score for admission than Mississippi State and has a 20% lower acceptance rate. Miss State is pretty widely (and accurately) regarded as the worst school in the SEC. Stingray is your most distinguished alumnus and you should treat him as such.

It is quite possible that the whole Stingray phenomenon is a complete shtick. Supposedly Steven "Stingray" Ray studied broadcasting at the University of Alabama. I find it a little questionable that someone who is from Alabama, and who went to the University of Alabama, is a diehard State fan. It's possible... but it's also possible that Stingray is just looking for a little publicity and notoriety.
