Yeah they had a bad season but they were an Alex Collins fumble away from beating MSU and a 99 yard TD away from besting LSU. If they can get steadier play at QB they should surprise a few teams at least this year. Maybe even Bama with us breaking in a new QB and all.
That was a hard nosed team that damn near beat us. At least our new QB won't need as much breaking in as others.

If this whole thing was about player's safety, then why aren't these coaches lobbying for the game to be turned into two-hand touch??? That would make it safer. Bert has no dog in this fight, he's just riding saban's coat tails. Saban is pissed cause he lost 2 huge games in a row.

I actually have an honest question here...why do so many of you hate Bielema? It can't possibly be the whole slow-down thing, because the ones I've noticed have been sporting haterections ever since he entered the league. As far as I can tell, he's a reasonably affable sort of guy with no reputation for being a prick or a scumbag like some SEC coaches. He's not holier-than-thou like others, and, unlike yet others, coaches pretty straightforward football that succeeds or fails on fairly basic merits. The worst that can be said for him, as far as I can tell, is that he's overweight (like that makes him an anomaly in the coaching ranks) and that he married a Vegas prosti...er, cocktail waitress. What am I missing about the guy that inspires some of you to froth like he molested your dog?

Edit: if he did, in fact, molest your dog, please provide documentation but -- and this is very important -- not photographic documentation.

Where did he fall from?

Not sure but when something that big hit the ground I am sure there was quite a loud boom.

That's an easy question to answer.....Its because he coaches at Arkansas.

Well, your last three coaches were a total a-hole (Petrino), a retarded Joker (Smith), and a human Wiffle ball (Nutt) so Bret seems like a step up, personality-wise. I get why some people (LSU and Auburn fans, for example) might hate Petrino, given that he embarrassed their teams on occasion, but Bret hasn't managed to earn the enmity he's gotten so far.

people don't hate Arkansas unless they get stranded there

Petrino was a prick and was disliked before he arrived. Nutt is more widely hated in Arkansas than in other places. BB is just digging his own hole and jumping in belly first

Starting a statement like this means anything past this point can't be taken seriously...

I think Bert's mental capacity has slowed because his blood has congealed so much it cuts the flow of oxygen off to his brain mostly because he stuffs his fricking face with Swiss Rolls.

Little Debbie's underage.

That make Bert a pedophile.

There are a bunch of folks on this forum that don't know what they're talking about. I'm not an Arkansas fan nor a Bert fan, but if you don't think that, given the time, this guy is going to make the hogs a tough out, then you're simply an idiot. We'll start seeing the improvement this year and it'll continue. I'm not saying that he going to make them a national power, but he'll have them giving those teams all they want.

Bret is yet another Yankee coach from a washed up conference. Why can't the SEC hire their own?

I said at the time he was the worst coach out of all the new coaches in the SEC last year.

Just look at how flippant Wisconsin fans were at him leaving. Many were thrilled to see him go.
