In a year mired by struggles and instability, Sarkisian managed to come to Troy in December and do what former head coach Lane Kiffin could not do just a year ago: Sarksian closed, and he closed strong.

I get an error on the page.
Kiffin dealt with sanctions while at USC and did a good job with it really. Overall, Sark was given decent talent even with USC coming off sanctions.
So the article is probably pretty dumb.
