No, I don't think he's an incredible QB or anything. He's very solid though. And he'll pass for 4000 yards this year.

Here's why:

Georgia lost their top 2 RBs, and return 75% of their receiving production from last year including:

- Brock Bowers
- Ladd McConkey
- AD Mitchell
- Kearis Jackson
- Arik Gilbert
- Darnell Washington
- Dom Blaylock

Not to mention losing a ton on defense. The defense will be talented, but I wouldn't be surprised if they give up 20+ PPG.

Last year 80% of our games ended before the 4th quarter. I'm thinking these losses on defense leads to closer games down the stretch, which means Stet will throw more passes later in the game. We won't be able to run the clock out on every opponent.

14 games. 4000 yards. 285 yards per game. Bookmark this.

If we're doing hot takes, I'll get in on the action as well: Stetson Bennett will not be Georgia's starting QB by season's end.

I'm beyond confident in this. Barring injury, he will pass for 4000 yards this year.

Last year he played a top 10 team and only threw 11 passes. Why? Because our defense completely shut them down and we were up 21-0 ten minutes in. That's not happening this year. He's gonna have to air it out

I agree.

Stetson didn't even get all the starts last year.

Dude's a serviceable walk on that was propped up by an all star cast last year. He's not throwing for 4k. I'll take that bet.

Don’t think so because we shut the O down well before the game ends way too often, and that ain’t changing.

His receiving corps is even better this year. We can throw for 300+ yards on 98% of CFB.

We did that when we were up like 31-3 last year. That will not happen with most teams last year. In 2021 80% of our games were over by the 3rd quarter. Think that only happens in a few games this year.

You can't throw for 300+ against 98% of the SEC much less all of cfb.

We'll see.

But my instinct says that if Georgia has to rely on Bennett to throw for 4000 yards this year, and we aren't counting interception returns, Georgia is going to have some struggles.

Stet dropped 200 in the first half on most of you clowns last year.

He didn't get the chance vs SC, but JT made sure to whup that arse for 303 yards and 3 TDs

I figure you'll have a running game and not need Bennett to throw for 4000 yards, rather than him suddenly getting a supporting cast that allows him to do that.

That’s pretty high. Did Murray or Zeier ever throw for that?

We won’t be what we were defensively last year but I don’t foresee a 2 TD ppg increase over last year. This defense is prob still a top 5 talent unit, with leadership. I just don’t see us changing our whole identity that much. I do think we throw it more.

That's precisely why I posted this. I see potential shootouts against Oregon, UF, and Tennessee, Moo St.
