I joined this forum at the high point of the UGA QB debate nonsense, but I still haven't been granted access to the UGA section.
The SECCG loss isn't on Bennett.
The "best defense in..." got torched. Period.

Yes. Our defense got torched. Even if the defense only gives up TRIPLE their average PPG last night, UGA still wins with 24 points scored. Stetson didn't win the game nor did he lose it (IMO).

It’s true. But when he had a chance to lead us back in the game, he stalled in the red zone, followed it up with a pick 6 and another bad int when he and the TE weren’t int he same page.

Bennett is not a Natty QB. His TEs and WRs are elite though.

And the Georgia DBs weren't close to any and were trash all game. This vaunted D is only elite in the front 7 and got exposed when the lights were bright. They're fortunate to be getting another opportunity.

In a championship setting elite QB play is paramount. It's why Bama moved away from Hurts. 2016 Alabama defense was comparable to UGA defense, but in the Championship it was Deshaun Watson vs a freshman Jalen Hurts.
Even though that Bama team was much more talented the QB gap was too much to overcome.
It's not just Stetson wasn't good enough, it was Stetson vs his counterpart was a huge mismatch that couldn't be overcome.

Nope. I was one stating that he could not beat us. Mainly that was the only way I saw us having a chance. Stetson played great and was not the reason Georgia lost. Bama won the game in the trenches - finally.

Yep
TJ Finley probably played worst than Stetson yet Auburns D gave them at least a chance to win. I dont understand not putting in JT though. Unless he is hurt.
