Yes. That seems like the main reason for taking it. Probably struggles gaining weight on his own.

If true, what is the advantage and why bother testing at all?

There will always be advantages to the people who put in the extra work and do the juice... Some people juice and eat terribly and half arse it in the gym... You can tell the difference between them and the people who diet and go after it.

Which is what I figured as well. But why then, was Will Grier caught? Either they are making an example of him or he does not know his way around the system is my guess.

I don't see the benefit for a QB to do it.

Run faster, throw harder, throw farther, gain weight, harder to bring down, eye-hand coordination...and you look better with your shirt off.

But the bottom line is... Chicks.

My best guess is 33%. One in every 3 players on an SEC roster.

Kickers are doubtful and most qbs (obviously not all). Receivers and dbs are probably about 1/3. Linemen, rbs, and linebackers I put at the majority as being on the juice.

So probably closer to 35-40% actually.

Btw, we had a half dozen or so players my high school team on the juice hard. And we sucked and that was almost 2 decades ago.

The boy arrived in Gainesville weighing 172 pounds.

A little over a year later, he weighs 215 pounds. That's exactly a 25% increase in a relatively short period of time.

He isn't the only one, but he had more motivation than most to bulk up. He wasn't going to play at 172 pounds.

I have no idea how Laron Landry made it thru 4 years of college and several years in the league before finally getting caught.

If so, they are taking the wrong shite, because the big guys look soft, and the small guys aren't jacked.

Good luck with that appeal. Ask UGA OL Houston how lenient the NCAA is with this. Also, i believe that NCAA only tests a random number of players on each team. Houston was tested before his first season at UGA. I would also imagine the split sample also came back positive so you are going to not have much to stand on with that appeal.
