Pete wasn't exactly the most efficient scorer in basketball history.

Pete put up buckets at a 44% clip bro, and he was shooting Curry range buckets regularly.

Moody 39% combined 2-pt./3pt.%.

Have you watched where Moody shoots from?

You are rounding up for Pete and down for Moody. Nobody here is saying Moody is Maravich. Maravich was a college career shooter of just under 44%. Moody is just under 41%. Neither counts as particularly efficient when compared to some great players that were well over 50%. Saying he shot Curry range, which Moody does too, only confirms his inefficiency when you look at the lack of reward for taking a low percentage shot.

Guys, everyone knows that Maravich was a crazy guy on the court who took shots that he should not have. That is what made him the exciting, legendary figure. If he had been a 7 footer who dropped 40 points from 3 ft from the basket, then nobody would remember him as well.

needs only 19 assists to join Pete Maravich as the only players in SEC history to have 700 points and 150 assists in a season.

Anyone who can be mentioned in the same statement with Pistol Pete has accomplished something. Hope the young man gets those assists.
