The key is to blur your eyes and look through the wall of text, then an image will appear.

Sorry if you guys are illiterate. Its a pretty good article.

Formatting issues aside, I doubt he watched the Arkansas/Missouri game. Missouri shot itself in the foot with offensive penalties and a turnover, not defense, in the first half. That gave Arky a very short field for one of their TD's (31 yds). Arky had one good drive the entire game, and that was their first possession, where they passed more than they ran.

He seems to be mystified that Arky passed so much, saying that they got away from what got them the lead. Their first and longest drive, they passed 6 times(including the TD pass) and ran 5 times. Their second drive, which started on the Missouri 31 due to the turnover, was also a pass TD.

It wasn't like we got them so far behind they had to pass, it's because our defense put them behind the sticks and they were only 5-14 on 3rd down conversions. We shut them down in the 2nd half. Arky was forced to pass because they could not run for first downs when they needed to. When our defense gets you into that hole, it turns loose the strength of the defense, which is our line play.

Missouri started the season with the fewest returning starters in the SEC, 2nd fewest in all FBS. It takes time to ramp up so many new players into tight units.

From last year's team, we lost our QB, our starting RB, all three of our WR's, both DE's, our best corner and a shyte-ton of other players. We lost one of our RB's this summer to injury. He's been out the entire year. Earlier this year, Mauk, Golden and two starting wide receivers were banged up. After the Georgia game (game 6), we started getting healthier. We haven't lost since.

Bottom line, Steele admits he's been consistently wrong about Missouri this year. It's been true on his season prediction and for individual games. He'll be wrong again in this game. You are free to bet however you please, but keep in mind Steele has been sloppy with his analysis on games, especially involving Missouri.

Mizzou may not win, but it is highly doubtful that we lose by 18 as he predicts.

I gave up 10 vs Auburn but I'm not giving up 14.5 this week. I don't think we lose cause Sims is too good in the clutch and we have too many weapons. But it just might be a close game.
