Your entire fanbase is melting about a football game getting postponed because of a major hurricane, and you don't see the irony in that?

Think about shite other than football.

Now they can be with their families during this catastrophic event. Please argue that point. Please.

They could have played in Tampa and stayed with their families. They could have played on Monday and stayed with their families. Done.

Bless you, Son. I'm sure the state of Florida roundly applauds your best efforts to feel sorry for them on a college football message board.

By solely singling out the UF admins in your first post of the thread, ya one could imply that

What are your thoughts on this?

Jacques Doucet ?@JacquesDoucet #LSU offered to play Sat/Sunday/Monday either in Baton Rouge or Gainesville. #LSU had secured hotels in BR + NOLA. Even offered #LSU plane

LSU offered to still play on Gainesville after the storm subsided. Even on a Monday.

That's because UF has been offered numerous other options and then decided to cancel until further notice

We offered to get UF's entire football department to a much safer location.

They wanted to cancel all week.

I feel bad for Florida fans now. Hurricane wrecking their state while their team's administration gets exposed for being a bunch of pussies.

Will Florida's admin try to get out of playing Missouri as well?

I'm sure the Florida and SEC administrations considered that and decided it was impossible.

Floridas foley just said they'll work with any option the SEC comes up with to make up this game.

I speak not only for the state of Florida but the entire nation when I say your efforts have not gone wasted.

Thank you CNB.

Please continue indicating that a football game is more importan than being with family and friends during a natural disaster.

LSU offered to play the game any time Saturday, Sunday or Monday in Gainesville or Baton Rouge. We even lined up hotels and offered the LSU plane. UF chose to reject all offers and cancel the game. Stop insulting our intelligence by trying to convince us that UF's decision was made out of concern for anybody's safety. UF has a long distinguished history of trying to avoid playing any unnecessary road games. After having played Miami annually for 50 years, they cancelled the rivalry after losing 7 out of 10 between 1987 and 1987 after The U became a national power. Political pressure is the only thing that keeps them from backing out of the rivalry with FSU.

And LSU fans will be fine with it. We aren't wishing death upon Florida residents. Try not to embellish so much.

I don't disagree with that, just have seen many LSU fans seem to put all of it on Florida and I think the SEC shares a certain amount of the blame.

Y'all stay safe during this MAJOR HURRICANE. Football doesn't compare to human lives.

Wait, so yesterday UF was boasting that the Hurricane wouldn't affect Gainesville and was so adamant that the game would be played as planned in Gville. LSU was banging the drum that there needs to be a contingency plan in place for a worst case scenario because we know how hurricanes can change course. Now, 24 hours later you're saying we should light a candle for UF???
