Agreed. Last thing MSU needs is another SEC championship in football. I mean once you have one, do you really need any more?

I wouldn't be surprised. Sure, Auburn's D hasn't been world beaters this year but I can guarantee you they'll show up to play us hard. And their offense can really kick arse at times.

Put me on the "no gd clue how that game will play out" side of things.

Auburn has packed it in for the season.

I hope so. We could use that being the case if we won... we still have a long road to win it all.

That UGA game was shocking to me. I thought AU might lose, but that game became uncompetitive. Did not think I would see that from Auburn.

However, Auburn will be up for trying to derail Bama's season. They are dangerous enough on offense if they can get it going and Alabama's offense has been prone to go into some pretty big lulls in games.

Every one of you are either stupid or you know what I mean.

If we beat Ole Miss, MSU fans should be okay with either outcome of the Iron Bowl.

An Alabama win, and we're likely in the playoff as the 3 or 4 seed.
An Auburn win, we get to play for an SEC Championship.

I am of the opinion that in this current system, I'd rather have the bye to the playoff. If we go to the SEC Championship and lose - we have nothing.

I just disagree and this is, frankly, a bit of a loser's attitude. My guess is the MSU coaches and players disagree with this sentiment. Sure, you'll obviously take a chance at the biggest prize (an NC) any way you can get it, but SEC championships are still a big deal to me (and Alabama has 23 of them).

SEC championship + national championship > just national championship > just SEC championship

no, there is only ONE champion you have any shot to jump, and that is Baylor

Even then, I think you get shut out

I disagree.

Wisconsin
UCLA
Georgia Tech

all control their own destiny for conference championships, and all could win them. And an 11-1 MSU would go over all of them.

I still think a 2 loss team is going to get in. Right now we have:

1 undefeated team that has no room for error.
6 One-loss teams that can't lose.

Out of those 7 teams, its quite possible that 4 of them lose over the next three weeks with rivalry and championship games. If that happens, there has to be a two loss team in the playoff.
