This. Dominate in the early 60s but since then the family (fanbase) has been seemingly cursed.

Auburn might be Teddy Roosevelt.

had A "more popular" relative, but TR was a man of substance.
Won a Noble Peace Prize.
Very involved in football.
Fought in the Battle of San Juan Hill; reminds me of Shug landing at Normandy.

So Bama is a wildly liberal socialist who expanded government to an historical extent all while being married to a lesbo?

Interesting.

I would roll it out like this:

Alabama= Andrew Jackosn. Toughest SOB to serve and took whatever he wanted.

Auburn= Clinton. Pretty much a crook; impeached but not convicted; a laughing stock to most of the country and the butt of almost as many jokes as Dubya but did manage to not totally frick up everything.

Georgia= Jimmy Carter. Never got anything right.

A&M= Dubya. Great to excellent first term. Second term was a grease fire.

LSU- Andrew Johnson. Got himself to the top but argued and fought with everyone and couldn't stay there.

Florida-Reagan. Probably the most popular president of the modern era. Even Dems liked him. Kinda like Spurrier. Most SEC fans recognize his greatness.

Tennessee- Chester A. Arthur. He resembles a former coach

No other teams matter much.

The Clinton years were good years. I sure as hell take him.

However...obviously Arky gets Clinton. And the Vols? They get the president who earned us the title Volunteer... the baddest Prez of all: JACKSON!

South Carolina = Andrew Jackson

Jackson was born on his uncle's plantation near Lancaster, SC.

President Jackson's term was most defined by his commitment to our nation's Manifest Destiny to expand and sole sovereignty of the geographic territory that became the US as we know it. With adding USC, and the great state of South Carolina the SEC was also realizing it's manifest destiny to expand into those other states' markets that truly would define a South Eastern Conference.

You can't spell SEC without SC.

Y'all need to step off trying to steal our president. Jackson is a VOLUNTEER. Our fricking team name and state nickname is from a little battle of his. He was elected from our state.

And Carolina... you'll have a dispute with NC if you try that 'where he was born' shite. Besides, JACKSON threatened to send troops into South Carolina!

No program as marshmallow soft as UT gets Jackson. You get Arthur or maybe Grover Cleveland.

I didn't say anything about where he was elected from, I said he was born in Lancaster, SC. He said himself in letters that were authenticated that he was born at his uncle's plantation in Lancaster, SC. Are you calling him a liar?

Naw, plus my explanation about manifest destiny makes much more sense on why USC = Andrew Jackson.
