Looks like its about 10 to 1 State fans every time they show crowd. Announcer is a dumb arse.

You're right. I suppose an ESPN announcer suggesting State fans couldn't afford the trip should be acceptable.
Although, this board would probably shut down with the quickness if it weren't for a bunch of dickheads who were bored.

My guess is that he just kind of put his foot in his mouth when he intended to say it as compliment in that a lot of Miss St fans couldn't comfortably afford the trip but came anyway.

Cohen said in the pregame that many State fans had given up their other vacation plans in order to come to Omaha and support the team -- All I can figure is that he was attempting to capture that statement and probably accidentally went too far in the wrong direction with it...

I thought the comment was "Many State fans said they could not afford to go, but they went anyway" I see nothing wrong if that is the case.
