I laughed too. Spurrier was steppin'. I noticed in another slow motion gif from another angle that Mauk was quick to grab Spurrier's left arm in a futile attempt to help him not fall. Mauk just had too much momentum.

Angle i saw Mauk could have slowed and completly avoided contact. I hope bad things for the no-class POS, and Spurrier is not my team's coach.

Mauk definitely could have ran into one of the other players. As well as Spurrier could have ran sideways instead of straight back. Or one of our players/coaches could have helped Mauk slow down. Hindsight is 20/20, and many different things could have been done.

I agree.

Putting video in slow motion, does not portray what actually happened. I am confident he did not try to take out Spurrier. I doubt he even saw that it was him.

Love Steve Spurrier. Keep him forever

yup agree, makes the game better.

I think MM was just trying to gain his balance back when he ran up on OBC, again if OBC doesn't turn his back to the field, he takes one step sideways and doesn't get touched.
(rookie mistake)

Don't know much about Mauk except from this play he's obviously a total POS, and I hope someone breaks his leg next game on a late hit. And any Missou fans that defend this are a POS as well.

How's about you shut your doucheface hole?

Here it is at full speed.

And what is that big white ribbon of material the players are standing on? That cables are duct taped to?

Tell me how he is supposed to stop on a dime, while wearing cleats, on a tarp after being hit at full speed?

The people getting the most upset about the episode seemed to be watching the ubiquitous "half-speed" clip. At regular speed, it looked a lot less egregious.

The upset people, there is no known cure for what ails them.
