SIAP but I thought this was interesting. Especially this line from Spurrier

I don't play all the time. But I do play about five months a year

Spurrier is a great Gator still. I hope he comes back to work for the University one day in some capacity.

He'd be a great Offensive Consultant/QB coach when he decides to slow down.

I doubt he would want it. I see him rolling around Gainesville in a Gator Golf cart in a semi-coaching consulting role.

Spurrier being an AD is just not like him. That would mean he would have to promote the program and deal with everyones problems on a daily basis. Spurrier is not the type that would want to be constantly appeasing big time boosters and promoting the program

This is true but his beach place is way closer to Gainesville.

Where is his beach place? I know some nice beaches in SC that I can get my real estate agent on!

Spurrier could just teach reading defenses and audibles and I'd be happy. A couple of hours a day.

The vol is right. He hates the babysitting and glad handing stuff. He would never take the AD job.

I think the only thing better than that horrendous dune buggy golf cart would be the Kool Aid man from those old commercials driving it.

I was going to take you for a drive. Pfffft.

ETA: That cart is sweet. I imagine it is available in all SEC colors except for UT. Other drivers would freak out thinking a moving traffic cone/barrell was on the attack.

I'd go with you if it had a Native Gator bumper sticker on the back.

It's the new fad. Parcells started it with Holmgren following. I know that's the NFL, but I really don't think it's out of the relm of possibilities for Spurrier.

I'll take it off my truck and put it on the cart.

Except as the AD you have all sports to deal with and not just football.

He hates the sucking up part of the job. It would never happen.

To me Meyer just needs to go into a perfect supportive roll. I think he's too controlling to adapt unfortunately.

You might be right TenTex. No one knows if he's capable of slowing down. It's really going to be determined by whatever health issue is causing all the major concern.

Coaching ain't worth dying. Skip Prosser is the best example I can think of.
