"UT coach Butch Jones announced the crowd afterward as being 35,000 and thanked the fans. The total was a far cry from last season's announced crowd of 67,027."

Call it a down check for the athletic director that the Administration recently picked.

Our horrible crowd came from the fact that on that day, a lot of people were traveling to a final four game or a women's basketball natty. We have a real excuse for only 12,000.

In their defense, other than it being a practice, it was also in a monsoon.

I am so tired if rain.

As much as I hate defending Ole Miss, they are built in a more rural area like MSU, just a college town. Not in a city with 400K people around it. Secondly, it might be just me but I don't put much into a spring game honestly. I know Mullen holds guys out a lot to keep them from getting hurt. I have yet to see a spring game tell me much vs regular season but it's a fun place for those who miss football.

It has been constantly raining since Friday, but then announcing the attendance at 35k when it was maybe 1/5 of that is just typical Butch

Yes we realize you're in Mississippi

Also Auburn is in a rural area as well so not much of an excuse there
