It will be really awesome to see Vandy win the conference one day. As a founding member of the conference they are long overdue

Go for it. Doesn't matter to me. I was there. I saw those games. We had the same record. They had a higher BCS ranking. Oh well.

I am still butthurt about that one.

Katrina year.

LSU played 11 straight weeks because of Louisiana being all fricked up. . .UGA being #11 in the SECCG, iirc.

LSU players were just worn the frick out in Atlanta.

Oh it has nothing to do with me thinking it might bother you but it is just a pointless debate overall.

LSU could not beat Alabama a second time. So LSU decided to beat Alabama a first time again. Mettenberger took over after the SEC Championship game by taking all 1st team reps in the Bowl Practices. Mettenberger keeps the tiger's offense on the field enough to get into Alabama terriroty and rest the LSU D so that Alabama scores not touchdowns again. Mettenberger in the perfect indoor conditions of the dome is able to time passes perfectly to O'Dell Beckham Jr. If the game was at any of the other outdoor major bowls Alabama would have won, but the perfect throwing conditions of the dome for Mettenberger equals an LSU win.

Very telling that no one outside the 6 best historical SEC teams have won since the great OM run ended in 1963.
Other than 'Bama's obvious dominance it's been fairly balanced amongst the other 5.

SEC titles since 1963;
'Bama- 19
Florida-8
UGA- 8
LSU- 7
Auburn- 7
UT- 7

***This includes ties and excludes UF's vacated title in the 80's.

We could do a Big 8(no Mizzou, you don't get automatic membership). Teams that have won the SEC, since Tulane last did.

Seriously though, every time a fan spouts this nonsense it just demonstrates an individual who doesn't understand conference standings.

Standings, btw - not "rankings"

They're obviously still bothered by what happened on 1/9/12.

I don't know that it will ever not bother us. I can still look back on that season fondly, but you guys put it on us in the biggest game of the season. I watch Alabama play alot of football generally bc we are competing with them for the SEC west...maybe its the P&G glasses, but it seems like when you play us, the team (specifically the defense) has another level that they play at for that one game. Maybe we do it too, idk but Alabama is not the same team against any other team that they are against LSU...take it for what its worth.

Yeah, that LSU team probably would have gone down as one of if not the greatest team in college football history. Then they shite the bed in the biggest game of the season in their own back yard, and only crossed the 50 yard line for one play (a fumble that then got JJ sacked back on the other side of the 50), leading to the now infamous 21-0 scoreline.

I...frick.
