What are they saying about the QB's?

That our freshman QB, Kyle Allen, is sick. But that's largely b/c the video clips that are floating around show evidence of it (no one's going to release clips of the dud plays, right? ). Throws a beautiful pass ... but he's not exactly facing a stout SEC pass rush right now.

Kenny Hill--Manziel's back-up--has looked good too. To be expected. And Joekel obviously has the experience.

Spring practice vid that focuses on the QBs, if you're interested.

Bottom line: The freshman phenom certainly has a great shot to earn the job, but it's laughably too early to tell.

I think it's strange that Hill or Allen will beat Les but JFF never could.

I think it reinforces JFF's legacy as a superman-like player. You have to have your kryptonite. No superhero gets through the story unscathed. That's just not how it works. But he eventually triumphs in end, which JFF has done.

What I haven't been able to figure out is why a rather innocuous substance served as JFF's kryptonite.

Oh well.

Allen is 10, right?

Looked good throwing it around. I really like how the ball jumps out of his hand.

It was only against air, most of the time. Even though there was some defenders out there, they weren't going hard.

This year is kind of a year with low expectations for ATM. I could see Sumlin starting Joeckel, then letting Allen take over early/midway through the season.

Head to head, Sumlin cannot beat Miles.

*With players he never recruited.* STILL not better than Les. Not even close.

Chavis has shut down all spread teams except Cam Newton at Auburn. Our D is built to stop the spread.

Do you always use when you have no counter point or do you ever switch things up?

As long as aggy can't hold the ball for 20 minutes a game, they won't beat LSU.

All we have to do is wait till your spastic O tosses a pick or goes 3 and out, then we can run the ball on your Swiss cheese D and score at will.

That's correct.

Exactly.

At this point, if I had to say, I'd bet it will be Kenny Hill--initially, anyway--with Kyle Allen backing him up.

Then again, most of us didn't think Manziel would get the starting nod. So who knows? Much spring/summer ball ahead.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Good stuff.
