They did suspend UNC's accreditation. They were recently restored to full accreditation

They switched it to probation when Tar Heels whined about the billions of dollars of research money that would be lost. Fleecing the government for research dollars is way more profitable than college sports.

No, the ACC can do no wrong. The NCAA is the most corrupt organization in America.

UNC fans agree with your last sentence but for completely opposite reasons. Most think UNC/NCAA will end up in court due to the NCAA acting against their own policies throughout our investigation. From everything we're being told, the NCAA will back off some of their current claims or they will be met in court.

Quick summary of recent events:

-NCAA issues NOA that does not include FB or Men's BB in it at all
-UNC still had issue with some of the accusations and pushed to have them removed
-NCAA COI (led by your commish Sankey) didn't like that and issued a new NOA that put FB/BB back in

Good luck with that in court, NCAA.

Take them to court. Inquiring minds want to know how this works out for you.

Which may be exactly why Sankey did what he did.

I have a feeling there will be a settlement that works out for both parties before it gets there.

A simple Google search will lead you to an article written in Dec, 2016 where more allegations were found and the investigation deepens. Not unlike the Ole Miss situation where when new stuff is found, it sort of restarts the clock, so to speak. I know there were some issues with SACS since it was more wide spread than just athletics. Not sure what came of that but I think the whole school was under probation from SACS. Something will happen one day. Too public and too broad to sweep under the rug. Does it really matter when it happens so long as the right thing happens?

Too many fans of other schools think they know the 'right thing' to be done without having any real knowledge of what happened. Media and headlines can be deceiving.
