Speaking from a purely first blush perspective RE: The Hat

I would be shocked if he was really let go. He has a hard time with Alabama, but he recruits lights out and is pretty successful.
I'm at my heart, risk averse.
With that in mind, I don't see the Established coach coming to LSU and doing CONSIDERABLY better than Les has. Certainly, the expectation would be higher an in truth the delta isn't much of one. So, you get a ton (in my view) more risk for not THAT much of a change.
Maybe I'm guilty of letting him staay too long, but man, this is a big gambit.

tons of guys can recruit. much harder to find good x and o guys.

You have to ask yourself, does LSU ever win the SEC again under Miles. If the answer is no, it's time to roll the dice.

Sure. I can see him outlasting Nick and then popping off a few SEC titles before his own retirement.

Perhaps I've underestimated the fan base Disgust Level.
