Your trivia website is apparently inaccurate as well.
"LSU's all-time record is 761-341-47."

I wouldn't trust either, it's always best to go to the source. However, I've seen team sites blow totals as well, and you never want to believe anything in html.
If you look at Last Year's Media Guide, you'll find on page 180, they say their total it 761-401-47. That's the same total you get in last year's NCAA Record Book. Add last year's 9-3 and you get 770-404-47.

Our on the field record is actually 893-318-44 (.730). That would make us the third winningest program in the country, closing in on the #2 spot presently held by Notre Dame.

It was really close before 08, when both programs skyrocketed in opposite directions

I'm shocked that we are above .500

So, we've got four different sources with four different totals, one of which is LSU's home site.
Good to know.
ETA: I'll keep using CFB Data Warehouse which is the easiest to navigate and seems to be fairly accurate.
You can keep looking through .pdf files of media guides and adding up the totals.

I don't know, I only see three differences. cfbtrivia agrees with the NCAA and LSU, LSU clearly has an html page that never should be trusted and cfbdatawarehouse is out there on his own.
Use the one that is obviously inaccurate if you like.

CFDW also says that we have 15 national titles.
Seriously though, it's not THAT hard navigating the actual records book.

Most Alabama fans shun the 41 title. He is no different.

A few things stick out to me here - The proximity of Tennessee to Alabama. That's a bit closer than I would've thought.
In 2001, Tennessee would have played for the National Championship if not for their upset loss to LSU in the SEC Championship Game. This was just 3 years removed from winning the National Championship in 1998.... and had they beat LSU, as they were favored, it would have given the Vols their 3rd SEC Title in just 5 seasons. At that same time, Alabama was readying itself to play Iowa State in the Independence Bowl... a small step forward from their 3-8 season the year before.
At that time, there was a prevailing thought that if Tennessee could continue playing at that level, and with Alabama struggling and on probation, that Tennessee could possibly pass Alabama in several key statistics.
Tennessee trailed Alabama by just 17 total wins following the 2004 season.... but that is about as close as it got.
Alabama has extended that lead back to 44 wins now... and I don't think it will get closer anytime soon.

Yeah, that's what I said. The two exception are Missouri and South Carolina who differ from the NCAA. The NCAA version is here.

You know you suck arse when Kentucky has you by 50 games. That's five entire seasons better. Half a decade of not giving a shite. Damn.

I'll take it, because that's about all we've got. frick it is frustrating being a Kentucky fan.
