his should blow your mind: pretty much every major university does lots of research and draws in students from all over the country. Clemson isn't special in that regard.

i didn't say it was about being special, he referred to Clemson as an 'upstate' college and fanbase. for a guy who bragss about Vanderbilt being best college in south, etc you don't seem all that bright if you didn't understand my point given the context.

I'm going to let you in on a secret: Vanderbilt students and alumni generally aren't insecure about our intelligence. We worked hard to get into, and graduate from, Vanderbilt. You're not going to draw blood by trying to insult it.

And is there anything wrong about what he said? All universities are colleges by common convention. Are you not upstate from USC?

you are so bright you continue to miss my point that even a dumb person would get.

my point is Clemson isn't an 'upstate' college and fanbase. it has students and alumni and fans all over the state and country. he was talking about it as though it is a high school or community college. why iis this so hard for you to grasp? i don't think you went to vanderbilt homey. u stuck on stupid.

Seriously? You don't know how basic topology works? The poster was using Columbia as an initial point of reference. From there, assuming we accept the standard globe model of the North Pole as being "up" (a meaningless concept outside of local topological system, but we're doing convention), Clemson is physically located "upstate" from Columbia. Clemson doesn't magically become located all over the country simply because Clemson graduates do. It's not a franchise operation.

It is also a college. Any discussion of connotative aspects of the statement past that derives from your own insecurity, not a reading of the text.

ok i get that you looking to disagree with me on something but why is this big isue for you? He talked about Clemson fans as being people who live in the upstate. obviously students, alumni, sidewalk fans of Clemson all over the state and country.

i think Charleston is the most represented metro at Clemson.

what am i insecure about? that doesn't make any sense.

he was talking about Clemson fanbase, not the physicial location of the college.

no, black students did that, BLM types, and the college covered it up.

no white student is going to do something racis tlike that and risk being kicked out of Clemson.

I like the part of the pre-game and post-game fights. I would like to participate in this against many posters in the SEC Rant but 99% of them don't attend games. Honestly I would like to take on some LSU "fans" but like draconian sanctions they would run

this is what he said. clemson fans are 'the folks in the upstate', as he sees it.

i should have known you would pop up b/c talking about racism is your hobby.

you have no evidence it was a white person. the perps supposedly turned themselves in but the Clemson refused to release their names or even their race to the media. given the Clemson admistration is leftwing, hard to believe they would cover for white people.

i forget the details but there was a racist incident of some sort down at U SC the past couple of years. i don't feel then need to talk about it though.

even if the perps are white, that doesn't make every Clemson student a racist. which is your dumb narrative.

It's not a big issue for me. Had you asked to start with, I would have told you that I find you and other representatives of your fanbase here on the Rant annoying and enjoy making fun of you. Then maybe we could have just agreed that you are annoying and saved both of us some time wasted posting replies to each other.

You are funny, just like most Clemons fans/graduates I know. For as great as Clemson is, you sure do spend a lot of effort defending it.
I bet I know you.

i'm not much like the other Clemson fans on here. most of them appear to be here seeking validatino from SEC fans. lol and their opinions always look like cut and paste off Tigernet's frontpage.

i don't see how you made fun of me. you just doesn't understand my point because you are a sidewalk fan who didn't go to college and so you look at them as community colleges rather than how alumni and students look at them.

if a student attends Clemson, he will be going to college with students from all over the state and a ton of them from other states especiallY GA and the northeast. so when you see the fanbase described as 'the folks in the upstate', that is obviously not accurate. i'm just ponting it out, but for some reason a vandy fan wants to lecture me about it even though it was obvious you didn't understand my point.

couldn't i say SC fans like you spend a lot of time defending SC? so what. i don't see the point of this kind of rhetoric.

Tillman is the poster that tried to tell me that Dabo taking the Bama job is a lateral move. Dude, I think your opinion of Clemson is a little inflated and I will believe nothing you say about Clemson after you made that ridiculous statement. You lost all credibility on all things Clemson, you silly homer. Clemson is so overrated, I think the cocks have an excellent chance of pulling the upset. My upset picks have been right on lately too.
As for the prank, well, not to shabby by 1961 standards. He didn't get into trouble and probably became a campus legend for the rest of his time there.

I actually used to think that. But then you went full dumb-arse and never came back.

Heh. I suspect you're going to have a hard time selling this one on the Rant. People here are familiar with me and my posting style. And trying to do so in a sub-literate manner won't make it any easier for you. It's quite obvious you've never attended college. I'm not insulting you, I'm just stating a basic logical deduction based on your inability to write intelligibly or even lucidly. That's a basic skill for higher education, even at community colleges.

based on stats, and SC's performance this year, there is no reason to believe they will pull an upset. you hope they do b/c bama doesn't want to see watson and mike williams and renfrow in theh playoffs. lol

it is a lateral move, unless you only talking about money. bama probably pays more b/c it has a larger alumni base. Dabo can recruit at clemson and it is better location for recruiting kids up north. our facilities don't take a backseat to nobody. Clemson can go the playoffs if it wins ACC even with 1 loss so there is no advantage to getting to the playoffs from the SEC than the ACC.

i much rather live in clemson near pristine lakes and the blue ridge than in .....central alabama. lol

you talk about how intelligent you are but could not understand my point that Clemson fanbase can't be reduced to 'the folks in the upstate'. i was just pointing out a fact but you want to be disagreeable about it. why do you even care. lol
