You got it right. 8 scholarship players

Any of the besides Roland worth a shite?
Well I disagree with the notion that Roland was worth a shite. He had a nice catch against UGA and that was it this season. He couldn't stay out of the doghouse or sober and he was very selfish. Watching him play at the end of the year you knew he had checked out.
Rodgers had the most potential but he never played and was always in the doghouse also. It would have been nice to see if he could win the starting LT spot next year. This is the only transfer that is thats relevant or noteworthy honestly
Kaiwan Lewis was good for us last year but this season he lost his starting job and rarely got on the field. He wouldn't have played much next year with Johnathon Walton and Skai Moore finally playing on the field at the same time.

Enough has been said about Roland; tremendous talent, but poor work ethic and no desire. Wish him the best, but he won't be missed.
Brent leaving worries me. He was all the things Roland wasn't, and after a good bowl game, I thought he would have been a surefire starter next year. I don't know what happened there.
I think the attrition is worrisome, but it's not like we are losing a ton of production. I don't think the offense will be the same like some delusional fans on here, but I do think it will be more efficient. With an experienced QB, we are pretty much forced to run the ball more this year, which should be a strength. Should also aid a defense that I think will be much improved. I don't think we'll win the east, but I think we could easily go 7-5, maybe 8-4. 2016 will be the year we return to semi-elite status.

Just like last year.

More Attrition
With Roberts and McClain transferring, USCe is up to 10 transfers since the end of the 2014 regular season. Also, one signee was arrested. Impressive.

With the new NCAA standards now requiring 16 core classes and nothing teams can do about that requirement I have a feeling a lot of teams are going to have to start recruiting more intelligently. Georgia already required 17 with no academic exceptions made for athletes so I am not worried about our team but lots of programs will have to work this into their recruiting.

If anything, this will negatively affect our depth..
Many of these players are buried on the depth chart and being asked to leave, but you frequent SC websites so surely you already knew that.. right?
Roland and Brent leaving are pretty significant losses. Roland because of potential and Brent because he's a hard worker and was poised for a big year this fall. Lewis and Roberts could've provided decent depth at linebacker, but they aren't SEC caliber starters. Our DC even alluded to that at one point (Lewis was referred to as being "a B1G caliber player").
We just got a new DC, so the decision to transfer was made easier for a lot of players that were going to have difficulty seeing the field anyway.
McClain was never gonna see the field, especially after that DE class we just brought in.
We're actually NOT thin at receiver, very green and inexperienced? Yes, but not thin. I think WR will actually be a strength of this team for the next few years.
All in all, SC will be VERY young in general next year. Offense and Defense. I can guarantee you this will not be the last person to transfer or be asked to leave the team.. spring ball hasn't even started yet.

The SC website was posted on the front page of the SEC Rant. Don't flatter yourself.

Roland isn't transferring, he's going pro.
And they're leaving to find PT. Except Rodgers who was kicked out and Roland who's an idiot

For some reason. Good luck to him but I don't see him getting far.

Like half of their 2014 class never made it in, right?

It was like two players that ended up not making it in
