When did South Carolina and Arizona State become "top-tier" schools?

it's a bit disingenuous..

A lot of degree plans at most universities require no history.

I'm pretty sure engineering majors don't have to have US history. Business majors can't even spell history.

Sounds like an easy blow-off class to me. I'd take it for that alone.

Those universities need to have their funding cut - they obviously have too much.

My rebuttal has nothing to do with funding. Just making fun:

Your school has a quidditch team.

So does Alabama.

You would have done better to say we have glory holes in the library bathroom.

Gotta admire your loyalty to your school...you'll defend Lada Gaga and bathroom holes.

Hendrix is a legend. Gaga is everything that is wrong with society and the garbage that is called music being played on the radio

This class was established last year. The professor who "designed" it said its like a sociology class. A sociology of fame, focusing on GaGa though not exclusively about her.

Problem is the student newspaper did a story on it last year and said he had been to like over 100 GaGa shows so people are concerned he might just be a fan boy. Its received a lot of crap and a lot of support.

BTW that not taking US history here is bull shite. straight from our site.

Social studies - 3 units: Must include one unit of US history. One-half unit of economics and one-half unit of government are strongly recommended.

CNB is the best poster on this board.

You guys need to remember this post next time the IM guys do their ridged SECY's again.

CNB,

I want to be your Jimmy Sexton/James Carville.

I have a strategy you need to follow to make your accession to the top of the SEC Rant and all of the illegal benefits that it entails.

I am offering you free suits, your choice of a slightly used Denali or Yukon, cheap motel rooms for life, $180K to your dad, directions to Nevin Shapiro's house & boat, tickets to every bowl game, a pair of hand-tooled cowboy boots and a chicken sandwich from What-a-burger.

You do understand that UVa is one of the finest public universities in the country?
Some colleges offer(ed) courses on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. So what?
Do you really think taking a Mickey mouse U.S. History 101 is that fricking important beyond what is taught in HS?
