South Carolina loses to Francis Marion 5-4

The Gamecocks tonight, #10 in the country, are losing right now in the 7th inning to Division II Francis Marion 3-2. FMU is opening their new stadium in Florence. Seats 1,600 or 1,800.

5-2 now. FMU still up. Bottom 7. First time since 2007 FMU has hosted a D1 team (beat Brown University).

Their nickname is the Patriots. They have 4,200 students. A very regional school (most alums in Pee Dee part of SC).

Good for them. Pretty big win for their program. For us, it will be quickly forgotten.
