I've never really got this regional bitchfest about BBQ. Good is good. I was shocked to find that the mustard-based stuff was damn tasty at Maurice's. I was not expecting that. I'm not saying I prefer it over beef brisket, but it was quite good. jackmanusc replied "Next time check out palmetto pig or docs for BBQ. Maurice's is more of a local chain. Their stuff is ok but there are some great eats downtown that do whole hog buffet." And next time I will.
We had a really good meal at the Blue Marlin (mostly seafood, some steaks) the night prior to the game. Very nice area.

y'all won the game, but you're still sour about some drunk students out yelling your cheerleaders at midnight the night before, and making them forget some cheers...?

I was there, I'm an old curmudgeon, and I'm not sour at all. I thought it was great that such a good crowd of students showed up to defend USC's turf. That was a good time. Students we talked to were very friendly (and loud :-))

Go to Doc's BBQ off of Shop Rd.
DiPrato's is awesome for Sunday brunch but also extremely crowded (granted, everywhere is). Henry's on Devine also has a good brunch and is my favorite watering hole.

Don't be brazen about it and don't be a drunk a-hole. Follow those rules and you'll be fine.
