I know you guys are still in the Honeymoon period with Frank Martin but how much longer does he have to start getting some real results? He's 15-39 in SEC play and 9 games under .500 overall. I'd figure Gamecock fans have to be getting a little testy with these poor results but it seems they're being a little patient. When do you guys see him starting to be competitive in the league?

Awesome post. Glad this board can have decent conversation. And if Frank couldn't beat Johnny with a Tuba player in the post, I doubt it happens this year either

He isn't a very good coach. He was handed a loaded team at KState and left before he got fired. South Carolina was dumb enough to bail him out.

The record doesn't reflect how much this program has improved since CFM arrived. Darrin Horn turned the program into a complete dumpster fire and it has taken CFM 2 seasons just to get the flames out while his third was used to make it stop smoldering. This upcoming season he should have the players in place to have an above .500 in conference play.

I suppose I didnt realize how bad it was. Trent Johnson had LSU in the dumpster and Jones took his guys and went 9-9, 9-9, 11-7. Trent's last year of course wasn't as bad as the previous 3 and Jones inherited Johnny O'Bryant, Andre Stringer, and Anthony Hickey. That said, he did have to play a tuba player extended minutes

NIT 2015-16 & NCAAs 2016-17.
Frank lost Brad Underwood to SF Austin after year one in Cola. Underwood had been with Martin the entire time at KSU.
That took a little steam outta USC's ability to get things fixed after the Darrin Horn disaster and probably added another season to make it to the NCAAs.
Carolina's lost a lot of close games which it led with under 8 to go - sometimes by double digits. The influx of new talent this season will pay huge dividends and is really the first good class Martin has been able to get to campus.
Dozier chose USC over UNC.
