The problem for USC is this: they're not very good. The problem for us is that we're not very good, either. But we are VERY young and are getting better each week.

We don't really know which A&M team will show up, though.

We are very young as well and only have 75 scholly players. Depth is a huge factor for us. I think we lose by ~7. Since I said that it will likely be a 2014esqe arse whooping laid down on us.

Not a lot of optimism in this thread, is there?

Were you not paying attention to the score board while we were playing Arkie?

A&M is much more talented and if Mond plays well, then A&M wins comfortably.

Muschamp is a good defensive coach, so this will be a lot closer than many think. Our defense is swiss cheese.

Sumlin rarely wins SEC home games. He has a better record on the road. ie undefeated against Auburn away and winless at home. I'm picking the Cocks to continue the Sumlin tradition of a home loss.

But that's a big if...

If their D rattles Mond, and comes up with a few early picks, then SC will rout us. Muschamp always seems to have his teams "up" for A&M.

I will pull for the Cocks.

Of course the A&M fans will pull cocks too.

Seriously I think SC is a better team and wish y'all the best.

SC +10 jumps out and looks good on paper. Especially with the pessimism surrounding the A&M program. However, SC has lost a significant play maker. One you need to win on the road in the SEC, and cover the spread one could argue. As a Hog fan and realizing we're trash, I was impressed with what I saw from Mond. I was impressed with SC against NC St. also, and as my favorite to win the East, I'm have 5th thoughts about that after KY and LT games. In a game where there will be a lot of possessions, for both teams, A&M should cover the 10. Possibly rather easy.

Sometimes it just comes down to talent on the field. Better talent can overcome coaching flaws.

Les miles comes to mind, because his recruiting prowess was his greatest strength

Muschamp's teams have played better away from home than they have in Columbia. But that doesn't say much- he's been right at .500 through his tenure. I have zero confidence in Carolina's ability to beat anyone. aTm covers.

I'm rooting for the Cocks. Then Bama. Then Florida. You get the picture...

I think we've played like 18 true freshman this year or something like that.

Night games at Kyle are insane. First SEC home game of the season and its a night game, the 12th man will show the frick up.

There will be a lot of energy in the locker room and emotion on the field.

Right now QB play hasn't really mattered all that much up until this point because the staff isn't letting Kellen Mond use his legs, we've had like 5 designed QB runs in the last 3 games with a duel threat quarterback. They're not letting him run because we don't have a solid back up, Starkel broke his ankle in the opener and then Hubenak has been injured since fall camp, that leaves non-scholarship walk-on as QB2.

Defense struggles really only with misdirection plays and the long ball. D-line is solid, LB's are 1000x better than they were last year, safety is a strong point in our defense but we're still without Donovan Wilson so some young guys are sharing free safety atm.

Our best position group is undoubtedly our RB's, we have 4 or 5 solid guys that can play. You'll likely only see T.Williams and Keith Ford until the 4th quarter and Kendall Bussey will be put in, that'll be the fatal wound for you all, a fresh solid RB coming in the 4th quarter.

I think it'll be close heading into half time, within a score either way, and we'll comfortably win in the 2nd half.

I'd change the prediction now if I was you. We have way too many devastating injuries to key players to allow us to compete for the east this year. Bentley has somewhat disappointed through 4 games but I have a hunch he comes to play on Saturday. If yall can get beat deep, we may be able to score some points
