According to them, they had already won the CWS after the first win....really ridiculous. It's what happens when you have fans of teams that don't ever win any championships...and have to watch all the other fanbases in their conference celebrate championships......just jealousy.

Would you stfu already? No one in this thread has said we were going to win the CWS. Yet, you keep chiming in, in Arkansas related threads.

So you take the postings of 5-10 message board posters and automatically group an entire fanbase with their feelings? You need to get out more Tickfaw.

If its too hot to play outside spend a some time lurking a few other message boards frequented by Hog fans and you'll see that the vast majority of us realize that we have been playing with the House's money (sorry this is the last time I will use this saying) since the Houston Regional. We certainly didn't think that we were just going to waltz through Omaha even after winning the first two. Do we still have a chance to win it all? Yes. Do we think we already have? Hell no.

What is the pitching match up tonight and who does it favor?
Arkansas will throw their Ace, Baxendale with Stanek ready if Bax doesn't have it tonight. SCar hasn't released who they will throw, but all three of their weekend starters are used up. The pitching will favor Arkansas. But SCar still has some decent arms to use, though it will be on short rest.

I imagine Colby Holmes will pitch again. Pretty sure somebody told me that, but I could be wrong. Hellacious day at work thus far.

How is that stupid?
You insinuated that Arkansas doesn't play well in pressure situations, which they have thoroughly proven they can. Now the following is in a civil tone, so don't take it as me downgrading SCar:

SCar won last night off of runs that were scored off of Fant. Fant is without question our worst pitcher in the entire staff with MAYBE the exception of Trent Daniel, who also pitched last night. As soon as Fant was taken off the mound, SCar's offense disappeared. Now after saying that, and having our dual aces available tonight, I can't help but like Arkansas' chances. Especially with SCar's pitching situation being what it is.

Having said that I have seen us catch fire so who knows?

The fire has been doused. You guys won 2 games, and starting boasting about how great you are - big mistake. Tonight you will be eliminated, and you will look like a bunch of fools, just like during football season. When will you ever learn?

What's foolish is chiming in talking shite when your team sits at home because they were beaten at home by a commuter school.

I see what you are confident, and you do have the advantage in pitching. Batting we are even, and we have the coaching/Xfactor. I think we prevail, because as good as your pitchers are, I doubt they fully shut us down. Thats why you play the game though, so anybody making predictions is just guessing. Good luck tonight.

Same to you Upstate.

By the way how does it feel to have suddenly become the Rantards 2nd favorite team. We seem to bring that out in a few of them.

coaching/defense.

Fixed.

And to the Arky poster saying we touched up one of their lesser pitchers and then calmed down after relief came in.. well we could say the same damn thing about game 1. Holmes, not exactly our Ace, got dinged up, took him out and Arky did nothing against relief pitcher Tyler Webb.

And of course last night Arky's offense was shut down by a Frosh pitcher pitching in his 1st CWS game.

Simply put both pitching staffs appear to be notably stronger than the other teams hitting.

Is that as foolish as using other school's accomplishments to talk shite (i.e. 21-0)?

Serious question.

Even if Colby Holmes doesn't last long we still have Webb, Beal, and Matt Price. Price was a starter at the beginning of the year and can throw 80+ pitches. I'm not nearly as worried about our pitching situation as y'all seem to be so confident its burnt right now.

Who' using another school?

I said YOUR team is at home because they couldn't hack it against a commuter school.

MY school is still playing for a national championship.

Ya dig? Its pretty fricking simple

You on couch, us on field. Understandable?

You mean the guy they are expecting to throw tonight?

All I'm saying is that whoever pitches tonight for SCar has a very slim margin of error.

Confident? No. Wishful thinking? Yes.

I have little doubt that the pitchers you have left will be up to the challenge considering the unpredictability of our hitting.

I never said it was burnt. See my post on the last page. I even said you had good arms left. I just said you had used up your weekend starters. That's never a good thing.
