Corners probably wouldn't have a hard time coming into Saban's backfield and starting.

Laron Landry started as a freshman for him at safety, but he was a top 6 pick in the NFL. Hootie will be lucky to get significant playing time as a sophomore.

Collins was impressive to me this year. Kid is a tackling machine. Nobody beats him one on one. His problem is that he knows it and is quick to react to the ball. Coverage is not his strong point. Sunseri would have kept LC on the bench this year, not next. Just some random thoughts from what I saw this year.

Damn. One of the few Bama players I like. I will miss the Honky Badger.

Seems like an odd move. He's not talented enough to leave early.

Yet you don't realize they said the same shite last year when LSU had all their juniors declare.

I wish him the best. Kid is a playmaker on the D side of the ball.

Not sure why LSU fans still hate on Collins. It's kind of embarrassing. I am glad to hear Bama will be inexperienced at safety.

Vinnie must have been advised by the same guy that advised Chris Faulk.

Collins will be an all-sec safety once he gets a better understanding of the coverages and scheme. Really hurts bama from a depth position, but saban will adjust.

So this was the guy who would have Bama fans shaking their heads that he declared.

Honestly this isn't that upsetting. Vinnie is fricking up but if robert Lester doesn't get drafted he sure as frick won't. LC, Hootie, jarrick, and geno smith will be fine back there. Would like some depth behind those 4 though. Chris Williams might be ga good FS as a backup freshman. Maybe Ronnie Clark can play some money or SS and LC can play FS. Landon can play all of them and has. Frick nick perry tho. He sucks a big ole wenier

Seems like a bad move for Vinnie, definitely could have used another year in school.

Not if he tears that same ACL again. His draft stock was going to be limited either way due to his measurables. As he stands now he might be able to collect a league minimum salary for several years. Another ACL tear his senior year and he would be begging for a GA job making 20k year.

Juniors fleeing like rats off a sinking ship
Hiring an OC who was fired from his previous job

Bama having a very LSU-like offseason

Obviously not a money issue with him. Probably thinks he has nothing left onto prove at this level and the NFL will help get better. That on top of no more "school work" and he is making best decision as he sees it.
